great video your the only person that set it up with everything. idk if it qualifies as not sponsored if they let you keep the desk, that incentive if i've ever know it.
That desk is insane, am I seeing alu profiles, damn... Btw, I've been looking at wireless in ear buds with low latency dongles and found the Sony Inzone Buds and the Soundcore VR P10. According to some Rtings the Sony are really close to be a compelling package but come in at €200, probably Sony tax involved. The Soundcore appear to be similar and half price, even on sale for €50, but have no reputable reviewers. Any chance you'd be looking into these two? Probably a very interesting market for the future as it combines in ear wireless that's already dominating for mobile with low latency gaming. Anyway, always appreciate your expertise, keep it up, man!
A solid review - praising what should be praised but not being silent on some areas for improvement if they do another iteration of the desk. I love the proprietary peg board and the railed mounting system but would love to see the peg board sitting flush and perhaps have more height. I also love the wood finish and cable management efforts, but think my Secretlab desk's rather simple method for that works better. Thanks man! 💯
Thanks so much for the kind words and your feedback! I try to keep everything honest and open in everything I do. I hope it helps people when making their decision, because stuff like this isn't cheap! I do LOVE this desk though.
#8020 desk #80/20 Desk extruded aluminum desk t-slot desk just tagging this video because for months, in searches on TH-cam this video never came up. Excellent work, Joey.
The adjustability and customization looks nice but it's really hard to beat a slab of butcher block from IKEA or similar, albeit it takes a bit more work to get it in PC desk form.
Have you noticed any torsion issues with the main horizontal rail for the monitors? Another video shows this not being strong enough for 2x27" monitors without bending. Just a bit concerned about the quality.
Can I set this up with three monitors? I hate looking straight at a crease. Also. is it wobbly? I've read on the standing desk enthusiast boards that two leg systems are the way to go.
In a nutshell, it's too small and they don't support my/their Corsair Flex monitor. They need to at least offer an 80-in or 90-in desk. Also, I'm not a fan of their monitor mounting system, especially that unnecessary bar. I'd have to do what you did with that half arse of an extension like you did for your Corsair 5000 case. At home I have no desire to stand up and play Call of Duty for hours at a time. I wouldn't trust that extension to hold the weight of my PC .. my 011D has the weight of an anvil with a full EK custom cooling with the largest radiators I could fit, full side panel distro, chromed copper tubing, etc and a Pi with a full screen in the front of the case. I'd lose my mind if it fell off.
My comments have absolutely nothing to do with you, everything you said was fine and I get it. It's my observation with this system that Corsair came up with starting off .. that pegboard system and rails, actually the entire mounting system is just simply nonsense. I don't want something that looks like I ripped it off for my garage which is exactly what that looks like. Instead I love floating shelves, tasteful decoration and even my wires are better hidden and there are many better options for supporting your cameras, microphone, lights, monitors or whatever. Most of that crap can be mounted to the wall. Now, if you're someone that wants to mount your entire rig in the middle of some large room then this may be it for you. I own a data center for my day job and when I come home the last thing I want to do is stand up and game for a couple hours. In my office this is not a commercially viable product either. There are plenty of high quality desks that raise and lower, but also have better safety systems in place and are more reliable.
what is the measurement from the table top to the bottom of the monitor bar. im curious as I am building my own desk and the platform 6 is really nice so im borrowing some design elements.
What kind of speakers do you use? Most I find require a cord from the left to the right speaker and the distance is too far if placing them on the left and right shelves.
These are the SVS Prime Wireless speakers with an SB1000 Pro sub. The sub works because I can run a longer cord. The SteelSeries speakers wouldn’t because the cable isn’t long enough to make it to the floor if you’re trying to hide the sub wire.
Quick question the GC7 and the shiit stack how do you have both connected physically and how you have it configured to work together? I use to have the GC7 but didn’t know how to used it with the wave link software and PS5 and PC toguether
@@GadgetryTech so your stack is connected from the PC to the speaker monitor and the GC7 is connected to a console or a PC I’m asking because I wanted to have a shiit stack form music or if a gaming from my PC and the GC7 used it with my ps5 but integrated with the wave link because I used some of el gato products
The stability is determined more by your floor material. I have thick carpet with 8lb padding, so my floor is no where near as stable as a hard floor install. I will gladly show it in a follow up video about the desk if you like. This is definitely not a paid review, I assure you. My link doesn't even have tracking info on it. It's just the manufacturer site. I maintain honesty and integrity with everything I cover.
*Warning for folks adding plants to the above portions of desks.... plants "weep". Not just watering them, but the way some plants "pollinate". Beware this dripping effect on valuable electronic equipment, like keyboards, monitors below, etc. (wink)
I'm in love with this desk. Sadly Corsair said they have no idea when stock would be available again. Absolutely amazing breakdown.
The setup looks amazing.
Thanks! I've been really happy with how it came out.
man i cant wait for this to be back in stock what a great desk and great design!
Joey, I NEED THIS DESK IN MY LIFE!
I would also like you to come build it and hide all my wires. ❤
lol yeah man fly me out haha
Awesome review as always Joe!!!
🔥🔥🔥
Thanks so much!

great insights, thank you. My desk arrives later today!
Brooo. I wish I had that much space for a set up like that
Great in-depth review again. I thought your headset reviews were awesome, but this review was also pretty solid as well.
Hey guys....this desk is on sale right now.... from 1600 -> 699 (walnut) ....and from 1500->599 (black) .,.....at least in my local shops (Greece)

Absolutely killer gaming setup you have! Didn't know you had a 4090 gaming PC.
Lol! I play on it all Kaiser!! Been putting it to good work
I have no intention of ever buying this but it was a good watch regardless

Are any parts sold separately for the desk I’d definitely could use the rail ?
The adjustability and customization looks nice but it's really hard to beat a slab of butcher block from IKEA or similar, albeit it takes a bit more work to get it in PC desk form.
Yeah the butcher block is a better value for sure. I like the rail system with this quite a bit. Moving it all around with ease is helpful

did that extra attatched platform for your pc feel pretty sturdy?
They need to tradeing set up with 6 to 12 monitor set up that would be epic.
I wish there was a triple screen config so I can put an ultrawide above my main two!
How would you compare this to the Secret Labs Magnus Pro XL?
Corsair Platform 6 Desk or SECRETLAB MAGNUS PRO xl which is the best

when i am on the corsair site i cant buy the desk

What is the length of the desk tray? I want to place a surge protector and a UPS inside of it.
Where did you buy the parts to stick the lights on the rod?
Cant you just flip the rail system around so the peg board be at the front?
Beautiful video ◕‿↼ I love it!!! ❤️

Hello. I never use both at the same time. I use one for music listening, and if I use a wired headset, I use the GC7 typically.

Not one review has shown the stability sitting and standing. I assume because they are paid reviews.

i been eying the secret lab desk. i do wish it had a better pc mount like this one. secret lab is limited to like med size pc
Rather than shaving your Elgato screws shorter, consider just adding Washers from the hardware store. Old mechanics' trick.
Can you make a eq for rust, seige , and fortnite
For turtle beach stealth pros

the depth is smaller than my gaming mouse, what a joke for the price
Nice. Can't afford it though. Lol
One day!! When I was younger I used a $100 Walmart desk for a few years. Just keep grinding!
honestly you could probably build it yourself for half the price and with minimal tools.
Woah… this is quite extensible.
Seriously. You can change pretty much anything
I think ill just build it myself, thanks tho😅
Daddy likey
It's the lights, I swear. They pull me in like an insect!
Hi! I have a Ultrawide 38" LG + portrait mount a 27inch monitor at its left.. Can you confirm if it fit with that monitor mount? @gadgetrytech
i can't say for sure to be honest. There is a TON of width though so it may be possible, but a 38" ultra wide is massive
