Are you able to do the same model with a smaller sheet of paper comfortably? Or is the larger one required for ease of folding. I can’t find any paper large enough to be even cut down to 75x75 cm
This figure accumulates many layers of paper, so it is recommended to use a large and thin paper to fold it. You could use a 60 x 60 cm paper. Greetings
everyone don't get discouraged by the number of steps ! and the time if you know all the folds in origami and have patience you can absolutely make it!
he probably uses origamido or some fancy paper for the videos, but when I'm making large projects I make paper by taking some kite paper (15-20 gsm) from amazon and double-layer it by using carboxy methyl cellulose paste (also on amazon) which gives it some shine and anti-tearing (it does still tear, but a lot better than kite papers) then cutting it into a perfect square (fold it in half diagonally, then fold it in half again, then measure the lines that lead to the tip of the triangle, and make them the same length, by trimming the 4 seams that are overlapped at the bottom). I am making this one with 45cm purple paper
@@hoaicu here in Perú we can buy silk paper and is cheap. In your country look for thin paper like paper rice or any other. Then, you can paste a sheet of silk paper with another using white glue ( better use Methylcelulose) .

Es una buena técnica cuando son planchas grandes.Sin embargo, en mi caso cuando uso doble o triple seda las planchas son de 50x70 y para hacer papeles mas grandes tengo que pegarlas con CMC y luego cortarlas . Ahi es cuando pierdo precisión. Me hice plantillas de cartulina de 80x80, 95x95 pero al cortarlas pierdo precision.
