Wow… great piece of work that, really gave us your connection with the place… sat in Fairwater and I felt right there!

WOW, I remember fishing the Taff back in the 60's when everything was black. The water, the rocks and the sand or coal dust on the banks. Back then the only thing we would catch were eels, or if you got really lucky a Roach. I think I recognised the Radyr Wier in the video and that was where we did most of our fishing. I now live in Canada in BC and have many great rivers to fish in. I am just getting back into tying flies and will try tying a few of your patterns to see if I can catch some Cutthroat or Rainbows on my two favourite rivers. The Elk river in Fernie and the St. Marys river in Kimberley. Tight lines Nick and great to see the Taff becoming a real fishery once again. Keep a look out for an old friend of mine that sometimes fishes the Whitchurch area, Red head By the name of Des Spears

Hi Mike. Glad you enjoyed the video and it brought back memories for you. I've fished in BC a couple of times - its a great place. Look out for my new film, Beyond the Bridge, which covers a whole year on the Taff. I'll be releasing it soon, but you can watch the trailer on my channel. Cheers, Nick.
