- Alright lads, the big video project is here. We are upgrading a Heng Long 1/16th scale RC Tiger 1 with a new lower hull, road wheels, motors, drive sprockets, and idler wheels. All of these parts come from Taigen tanks (not sponsored).

All you had to do to get the battery plug out, and the motors, was unplug them from the board
Im going to upgrade my Battery plug that runs to the Frount Hatch Oil 🛢 Fill tube for the Smoke Smoker
Im going to take my Tank To RC Madness for the rewiring job

I already upgraded to metal Tracks and Metal Sprockets for my Tiger 1 German Tiger Tank
Made a German Flag out of paper and Scotch Tape
Put it on the antenna
I recommend changing the gearboxes with PDSGB ones , it changes the tank's performance completely in all aspects

You can use a N8 charger for your Nimh batteries, it has automatic cutoff.
The rear wheel Sprockets have a Phillips head screw
Tell me did you solder the wires on the motors of the new gearboxes? There initially the plug didn't seem to be compatible for connecting.

how does your turret rotate all the way to the back mine dosent?
Mine came with a slip ring from the factory, If your's doesn't rotate all the way then it doesn't have a slip ring then it has a stop in the main turret gear to prevent the wires from tangling/breaking from rotating to much.

do you know how to take the roadwheels off? i see you have metal ones so i figured you'd know, i cant find anything on the internet lol.
There is a small grub screw on the torsion bar swing arm that you need to unscrew to take the road wheel off. Though I think that this only works on the taigen lower hull and not the heng long hull
@@cobra727 the holes for the grubscrews are there but the screws aren't lol. They're a push fit I found out. But I'll have to order grubscrews to fasten the axles for the metal roadwheels since they're a little to small.

@@cobra727 no I think I have the basic Heng Long chassis. Tbh I don't know which version I have since I got it from my dad's old storage box and it missed most parts of the box
Did you upgrade the turret traverse to 360 instead of 320?
Also does the update Edition come with torsion bars and if not what suspension type does it use?
The turret traverse was 360 from the start, and the suspention on the upgraded hull is torsion bars
Too bad, it's better to cut the cable than damage the battery compartment

You need to not go full power on the Controller
