Trust me when I say that needing to keep your hands clean all the time and wanting to use hand sanitizer does not make you even remotely OCD for you to be using that term. My dad has OCD and with his age as well his behaviour is also getting worse and more visible to others. Please stop using this term like it's urban slang. It's a mental health condition not to be made a joke of.

Just coz you carry a hand sanitizer doesn't mean you have OCD. As a celebrity she should encourage people to eat right and not pop in vitamin pills and chocolates.

I debated much whether I should leave a comment on this topic but alas, I cannot resist as I feel very strongly about the subject of OCD. I would like to state here that I mean no one any offence by my opinions. Just because a person self-declares their OCD, it does not make it non-existent. In fact, the signs of OCD are very clear and I am sure that Prachi, like many other celebrities who declare themselves as having OCD, knows of them. We all know simply washing your hands and wanting to keep them clean throughout the day, does not amount to a person having OCD. I myself have suffered with OCD for many years and did not need a 'specialist' to tell me I have it. I don't touch my face, EVER, unless I'm washing it. I change my bedsheets daily. I wash my hands every ten minutes and don't allow myself out of my room many times in case I catch 'disease' and 'germs' from the outside world... I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the picture; I have OCD, I know it and for a long time, self-declared that I have it. Only recently did I have it confirmed by a specialist and that's only because I can get free help from a counsellor and I need free help as my OCD makes it hard for me to work and I don't have the money to pay for a counsellor... the specialist only confirmed what I already knew. My point is, just because a doctor or specialist does not 'confirm' a disorder, it does not mean you don't have it. What leads to us going to see someone 'proffessional' about our disorders? US and HOW WE ACT. My OCD was not non-existent for all the years that it was not 'confirmed' by a 'specialist'. I'd also like to add here that not everyone will say, "I got it confirmed by a specialist" after declaring they have OCD. Do we say the same for Diabetes, for example? No. And why? Because a disorder is associated with the brain and our thinking and what has impacted us, rather than physical changes in our body. For all you know, Prachi could have her OCD 'confirmed' by a specialist. As an OCD sufferer, all I can say to fellow sufferers and sympathisers is this; don't be judgemental. We know the battles we fight and the struggles we go through on a day-to-day, hour-to-hour basis. Let's not assume things about people whom we know very little about. We should help each other out, bring each other up and now tear each other down. There are plenty of people who do that for us, including ourselves! Be kind and let live.
