China is a menace for the whole world, not just India. Mayanmar is a big mess right now, but thankfully they are not hostile towards India. But other than that India has had good relations with Nepal (Nepal nationals actively join the Indian military in large numbers and serve in Indian land), Bhutan and Sri Lanka.

I'm sorry, but despite being Indian myself, this is just straight up wrong. Talk about our ancient history all you want, but we've spent most of our history in the subcontinent fragmented into multiple dynasties, and even in the last 1000 years of unity, we were united under foreign occupation. We've been industrialised for 20 years at best. Not even to a high level. Our IFS officer numbers are some of the lowest in the world. We are very new at geopolitics. We were quite immature even under Nehru and Indira, which is not that long ago. The US's lecturing is a dumb move on their part, but we really aren't the masterminds we think we are.
