Mochi is a sticky rice bun thing that people eat with soy sauce or red bean paste or other stuff. The body is prolly called mochi ashi because her legs (ashi = leg) are kinda mochi-looking (thick and soft) :p
I did know what mochi actually is, I ate quite a bit of it in Japan. I just wanted to make sure I pronounced it correctly because I couldn't remember since my trip 😅 I didn't know that Ashi meant leg though, that makes total sense for the name!

What are the body & eye sizes for Dolfie dream ? I just put 1 on a 1/6 bjd body.
Mochi can wear some regular MDD shoes on their website just click filter
I did that but the only ones available when I ordered were some plush cat paw shoes and I wasn't interested in those 😫
What proxy did you use? Is it easy to navigate? I’ve been wanting to get this doll line but in tan skin but I’ve been told they only sell them (tan skin) during summer? Volks dolls confuse me sometimes 🤣🤣🤣
I didn't use the proxy, I was too impatient and just ordered this myself.

I didn´t like the big feet on my mochi ashi body so I changed them to normal feet (also available on the volks website). Now she can wear normal MDD/MSD shoes, I really recommend anyone to do this as well!!

I remember a few years(?) ago when “thin is in” was the social law and people felt free to tell heavier peers to lose weight. It was acceptable to look down on “curvy” women as lacking self-restraint. Now the Kardashians are having surgery to implant larger posteriors, dolls are made larger because that’s more aesthetically appealing, etc. I’m glad to see the change, maybe it’s a sign we are growing past self-denigration.

Am I the only person that doesn't like this chubby body? I prefer the original honestly. The way the hips meet the thighs just doesn't look right and the legs are just way too thick.
