It's got some of the craziest bass playing I've ever heard, I think your tone and skills could actually be a good match for the song. There is a video of just Mudvayne bassist Ryan Martinie playing the song on TH-cam if you search "Mudvayne Dig Ryan" (the right video says "Just him!"). Lots of strange slapping sounds. (I'm not a bassist so I don't know the right terms haha)
