I've been watching ever since you started your Channel. I've continued watching because your subject matter is real you don't sugarcoat anything. I will always be a devoted fan in a world where a lot of content is fake and made up yours is always about reality thank you for being real
It’s interesting that when foreigners talk about the good life in Philippines they’re loved but as soon as legitimate criticisms are raised we’re told to go back to our own country.
I mean I can understand why... Why move to or visit a culture and try to change it? If you really dont like it, you should feel welcome to go somewhere else. Thats how I look at it. As a foreigner, the goal, to me, should be to fit into the culture and try to strengthen it in the ways that the locals want, not to try and change it to be more like where you came from. Dont all groups of people have the right to have their own cultures and way of lives? It just feels really wrong to me to try and change something that isnt "yours" to be something that the people who are born a part of dont want it to be. If you love a place and its culture as the locals have worked to make it, you should be loved and accepted. If you dont like the place or the culture, then it would only be natural that be seen as someone trying to influence it in a way they didnt choose, and in my opinion, you should not do that.
@@7thsluglord363 You can love something and be critical of it. No place/thing/person is perfect. The Philippines has a ton of good aspects about it, but there is plenty to be critical of...just like any country.
@BigHeadAvenger yea but what im saying is, as a foreigner, it's not our place to tell another culture what to do, and if we dont like it, we can always go back to our home culture and complain there. Especially if it's something the locals dont complain about. If everyone that was born there is also complaining, then sure, complain away. Just dont think that someone elses homeland needs to change for your own whim, or even humor your complaints.
I definitely prefer watching Filipinos and Filipinas talking about the Philippines. So much more authentic. Your channel, Rubeauti, is one of my favourites.
Filipinos are the kindest and most helpful people you'll ever meet ... To foreigners. To each other? It's another story. They can be so hard on each other and so rude to each other. It's a shocking contrast.
Hi, just my thought, I am married to a Filipina, what I find is when a Filipino starts making good the bashing starts. Nothing to do with validation, it’s other Filipinos do not want to see their own become successful. Not only in blogging, but just about any venture, failure is preferred. Again it seems the country is going off course, not doing what’s good for the Philippine people. Keep up the good blogging 😊
👍😎! I have noticed much of what you are describing although I have travelled quite a bit to the Philippines but definitely not a content creator but occasionally I love to take pictures! I have drifted away from foreign vlogers and see more truth in the Filipino content creators! But I must admit I do get a lot of attention from the Filipino community in such a positive way it warms my heart and soul so I do as much as I can to show polite respect! Sometimes I feel like a lost soul but the warmth that I get from so many Filipinos makes me realize they are richer in their hearts what many westerners can’t buy with money! Your content is so good and from your heart you don’t fake and your personal opinion should be appreciated!👍
For what it's worth, I want my information from you and other Filipinas. The foreigners typically don't have the personality or real dirt on the Phillipines. Thank you so much for what you do
Hi Rubieauti, wonderful video, very well said. By the way you speak very good english, better than most American. Keep up the good work and I love you.
Canada is similar, as a British colony we've always had a psychological complex about big brother USA. We've always looked for validation as to why we're better and nicer. Same crab-in-a-bucket mentality. Same type of government overregulation that makes entrepreneurs move to USA and cause brain drain, just like Philippines. As for a TH-cam channel being a business, better to chase higher CPM viewers in USA, Australia, Canada. Even though you want Filipino validation, you understand the reason why they won't give it to you. If you were a famous singer or athlete they would feel Filipino Pride through you. Hope you can accept foreign validation instead. At least it's more profitable.
That happens in every country, in Mexico there is a American, a Korean, a Japanese, a Russian and lots of cubans extreme popular because they speak wonders of Mexico and compare it with their respective bad side of their countries, nothing new there, everyone likes to hear their country is a hidden gem.
Miss Rubeauti I think it’s perspective more than anything. Because I lived in the Philippines for awhile and am married to a Filipina I am interested in Philippines. I prefer to watch Filipino bloggers more than western because I get a truer idea of how Filipinos think. I do watch some western channels of westerners living in the Philippines so I can see their perspective and compare it with my own. Maybe it’s the same reason Filipinos watch westerners talking about the Philippines to get their perspective although I do know about Filipinos bashing their own countrymen. Just keep up the good work on your channel.
Hi Rabeauti. I will not say that you are wrong about Filipino culture. After all, I am just a bloke from Australia. But it has been my experience that we all value the praise of those we do not know over the praise of those we do. That is why I go out of my way to praise those I encounter in life when I have reason. For example today in the shops I told a woman in her 50s how nice her top was (really gorgeous colours). Fully aware that my words would have greater impact than the same thing being said by friends or family. All the best
Filipinos know what Filipinos think and say about the Philippines, they are probably just interested in what a foreigner thinks about them , I'm English and it's always interesting to hear what foreigners think of England.
If my opinion means anything, I am subscribed to three channels from the Philippines. One from a US Expat and two from Filipinas. I choose Rubeauti and the other Filipina due to the English skills, their sincerity and honesty about Philippine culture. Please keep up the good work and try not to compare yourself to other channels because we appreciate YOU.
Sometimes the bashing of Pinoy creators by their fellow Pinoys is due to the "crabs in the bucket" mentality. That habit of pulling down others out of envy when they are getting ahead is very disappointing to see in Filipinos, since they should be glad for each other, and should give their support. It's too bad when this happens, because creators like you try to put out good content that's different and, unfortunately, don't receive the support they deserve. I'm often disappointed to see so many Filipinas doing vlogs where they talk about relationships with foreigners that focus on their sex lives. I know it plays to a certain audience, but it's degrading and often gives the wrong impression about Filipinas and your countrymen. Keep working on providing YOUR content, Rubeauti. It's so fresh compared to the content from other young ladies like yourself.
Interesting... "crab in the bucket mentality" - I have never heard that before. I wonder if the Scandinavian "Law of Jante" are the same thing? I just know what it looks like here in Sweden where I live but reading about it it seems the same...
I’ve always loved your channel from the very first time I found you on TH-cam!!!! All my 76 years I’ve always dreamed of the south seas and the most beautiful women in the world! To me you have always been the girl of my dreams. Everything about you is absolutely perfect in my eyes, and there is nothing i could think of changing! Except I wish I lived in the Philippines!!!! I love your honesty and you sharing you life with all of us, both god times and not so good times. Your video of the problems with your land purchase really made me cry along with you. Thanks a million for sharing your life with all of us out in TH-cam land!!!!!!💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
Ruby, good you brought it up … you have to able to take the fire when addressing controversial topics … I know you can handle it … I enjoyed your travel vlogs from Europe … it’s good that you speak your mind and don’t censor yourself … your are an independent strong woman … good look with your channel … you deserve to get a huge subscriber base … love your content and the way you present it … keep going!
As a Americano Pilipino here in the US, I’ve been low key watching your content on here for awhile. I’m not sure when I discovered it, it feels like a couple of years ago but i enjoy hearing different perspectives from people. There’s always bits of information you can learn from everyone. From a business owners perspective that owns a few companies here including in the marketing/ advertising space, there’s several pointers I could give you but it’s too much too type. One thing I could say is your content matters. You matter. My time is limited and I’m pretty pricey when I work but for a kabayan trying to make it, I would make time for you with no charge. Wish you all the best and success. Ingat 🙏🏼❤️🇵🇭
Very impressive about the VLOGGERs take on the Philippines - ALWAYS positive about the attitude and hospitality of Filipinos, the beauty and diversity of the islands and their near- immediate living comfort as an expat. Impressive during my long visit to Cebu - the courtesy, warm, funny conversations about our differences and the kindness shown to me as foreigner by people struggling for daily meals to the gated community folks. Given these circumstances, it was easy for me to just shut up about politics, poverty and infrastructure because the Filipino environment offers the opportunity to learn the language, actively participate in formal/informal Community Building Projects and frankly, enjoy a Filipina's elegant emotional warmth regardless of whether she is potential girlfriend or a vendor or neighbor. I'm coming back.
Rubeauti, There are several reasons that come to mind for the phenomenon you describe, rather than the ones you describe. First, Confirmation Bias. Pinoys love to hear others that are from far away and rich countries give praise for the beauty and the culture of PH. To them, it carries more weight than a local saying the same thing. Pinoys feel they have a more pleasing attitude and a beautiful country, so they like to hear that validation. It is human psychology common to people everywhere. Also, they are more curious to hear how others portray where they grew up to be compared with PH. They are also more comfortable when you speak the local language because it is more simple to understand without having to translate or not understand an English word that may be the key to understand a spoken sentence. I like and subscribe to your channel because you speak English well and you show what life is like from a filipina perspective because I am curious and want to know. Your Siquijor venture was very interesting. Just focus on the message for each video and your subscribers will come in time. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and perspectives! Keep it up and you will build your foreign viewers. Soon you will find a path to quicker success, it just takes persistence and consistency. 😊
Hmmmmm... I don't hear any complaining when the foreign men are sending mega superchats and PayPal money to the filipina ladies vloggers. Yes, the ladies make more superchats from the foreign men than the foreign vloggers make from the Filipinos. I saw on one live, where all of the relatives as filipinas have channels, that she made over $900 for 2 hours of live. In addition,, one of her subscribers gifted money so they ALL (12) in the household could eat. Be careful not to get used to that type of money. There is a season for everything. Don't let TH-cam make you so independent that you forget to live real life. It could lead to a life as leftover woman.😅😂😅
Ruby is not independent, she is totally dependent on YT money and must think she can make a career out of it. She could have settled down and had a family but it's clearly not on her agenda. Destined to be a leftover woman given the path she's following.
A lot of Pinoys have a warped sense of "Pinoy Pride" and majority would jump in the bandwagon when someone shouts "Uy, Pinoy Pride!" even when they don't understand what's really going on. It's sad majority of the Filipino fall and eat up this kind of trend online.
Good observation Rubeauti,as foreigner in canada i did not know that pilipinos are the most critics of pilipinos ,me i wacth pilipino video and foreigners too about 50/50 thank you.
I have never been to the Philippines, I really want to come for a few weeks to see if it would be a good move for me when I retire. Also have been looking for rental properties in the province for raising quail. That being said I have been watching your show and the Pea,Sizzy Kelly and many other ladies. I have yet to find a pinoy vloger. Your so awesome and amazing don't worry about a thing you are doing a great job and I've been tell guys I work with about your Chanel. God bless you always you are a Queen so beautiful and Smart.
When you’re out and about vlogging. Include as many philippinos as you can in your video, let them know they are on a vlog . People love to see themselves on you tube and share it with friends etc.
Hey Rubeuti, haha, omg yes it happens in other countries as well, fx my country Denmark. I must admit that I have also watched a great number of videos about my home town, Copenhagen, so I know what I am talking about. At first I did it coz I thought it would be fun to get other perspectives on my wonderful little country, buuuut, as it goes I discovered that 80+ percent of the comments were from fellow danes how mostly wanted to bath in the bright light and praise. We just loooooove praise from foreign vloggers about how wonderful everything is in Denmark. Your mission, actually informing outsiders, about the realities of the Philippines is less psychologically gratifying - as you notice yourself - sadly, maybe. If you one day will find yourself in Copenhagen I will invite you to some real danish "smørrebrød" and some coffee in the cold. Greeting from a long time viewer of your content :-) Keep up the good work!
🤔…..you are awesome - and absolutely correct in the opinions you have expressed. Long-time subscriber here - to tell you: 1) “Bashing” = petty jealousy (just ignore them) 2) Foreigner vloggers in nations, such as Thailand for example, don’t get the huge viewership because of the language barrier. English, for the most part, is not an obstacle for Filipinos watching foreigners doing vlogs in the Philippines. That’s the main difference. 3) Your nuanced comments regarding the impact of colonization on the people and culture of the Philippines was brilliant. And indeed, it is sad. I wish for you continued - and ever greater- success as you continue your fine channel.
I rarely watch videos by non-Filipinos about the Philippines. Their views about you are going to be twisted by their own life in their country. I want to get to know the Philippines and the people who live there. You always raise interesting points Rubeauti and your information is always useful. Much rather watch and listen to you than some US visitor!
You're blaming your Filipino charm for not getting the views? I think the universe just hasn't caught up to your wavelength yet. Maybe it's not about being a Filipina but more about what's missing like, perhaps, a live tutorial on how to navigate the Philippine bureaucracy or a saga of finding the best street food in BGC or Makati. Your heritage is your superpower, not your kryptonite. Let's see some more of that unique Filipino flair!" Just maybe change the content more just my take on it.
You have to question if some of the numbers is real. I have been looking at what they do to promote music and how there is alot of fraud, buying views exc. That being said if I had a background picture of you in a swimsuit for my music videos on youtube I would probably have alot more viewers. hard to compare if some people do dishonest things though.
I´ve always found some pinay bloggers more informative... and hate the Live nothing changes, just to meet an afam, type of channel... travel and topics is good... the Pea model... does indeed grow your channel. Great to see you have almost 94k subscribers. Is your sister still single? How is the land plot going? Have you considered remote Telecomms?
Good video Rubeauti. Whose words do you pay more attention to, your mom saying you look pretty today or the hot guy who sees you on the street and says you look pretty today?
$$$$$$$$ intent is a simple method. A lot of watchers have their own agenda as to what they expect. You can take horse to water, but you can't make them drink. Reality is a hard take on the world. As far as validation goes, I've been in the background for years, you have improved both in content and personally. Keep up the good work and don't let others see your frustrations. You catch more people with honey than vinegar.
Rubuti, you made the point that as Filipino you know the good bad, ugly of the Philippines but ,why is none high lighting the topic of the social fabric ,the poverty, the low wages ect ,the Philippines is a big country that generates billions of dollars ,that's not being dispersed throughout society. Imagine if vlogers joined forces to help make change wow,now there's content for you . Cheers interesting observations
I agree, that in many cases philippino vloggers are more authentic. But some of them just copy the topics from each other. So the third variation of " How to find a good philippina" is little boring to me. I prefer content like you create. Bashing happens mostly, when people are jealous and want you to fell bad like themselve... don´t care about!
the validation theory goes hand in hand with Filipino insecurity which, i would haphazard a guess is a phenomenon that has occurred & increased along with the internet & social media, ie the insecurity didnt exist until the WWW made the world more accessible to Filipinos. Quite a lot of filipino's ive met have these issues of insecurity, pushing the idea that Filipinas are hard working, incredibly friendly, incredibly stubborn etc etc..but no, they are not, no more than any other people or country. I understand why a foreigners vlogs are more appealing to local Filipinas than a locals vlog, it's because you receive an outside perspective and a entirely different view and experience; I much prefer to watch someone else's experience of my own country rather than a locals view. However, as a frequent visit to to the Philippines i obviously want a locals perspective and explanation of the customs and experiences of that country.
I think there are so many great things about the Philippines, but I have a problem with foreigners trying to make it seem like it is better than America when I can definitely tell you as a Visayan American it is definitely not!
It's pretty much the same on both sides... a majority of your viewers are probably western men (just like most Filipina vloggers) and then the westerners that are vlogging in the Philippines get a majority of the Filipino viewers. This has been the case since the beginning of time, it's always harder to get credit from your own hometown.
Look at all the Filipinos' who have started channels since 2020, a lot of the 'bashing' is just jealousy and the need to knock competitions out of the game. Rubeauti you pointed out that a lot of the Filipinos say you should speak Filipino only, but you are trying to attract a larger audience, and your English is very good! My mother tongue is English...from England (not there anymore) it is a language with so many dialects.....WHO SPEAKES ENGLISH CORRECTLY? You have a charming accent, enjoy it....We do!
There is this very smart engineer that lives in Germany. He use to make videos about 3D printing in German and he hardly got any views. Then he switched to English and his viewership exploded. Of course his English was flawless and this was very early on in the 3D printing world. He was very smart and would actually build his own 3D printers from scratch. Then this eventually developed into how to tweak the settings on 3D printers to make them work better. Anyway the point I am trying to make is use English in your videos and work on writing a script so you can organize your own thoughts. Then go back and tweak you script until it is flawless. Good Luck and God Bless.
… of course they do … only a handful people in the world speak Swedish … the question is: do Swedish vloggers that speak English get less views than foreigners when they create quality content? …. I believe in many cases foreign vloggers will get more views than natives … but why?
Good point "validation"! You brought up a controversial subject. I am surprised as you are as to why Filipinos seem to fall to foreign vloggers instead of supporting their compatriots. It's mind boggling! In fact, these foreign vloggers are devoid of decent contents. Most of their contents are eating in restaurants, visiting resort areas, hotels, going to high end places and parks and made up cooking. I find it so shallow and superficial - nothing to learn but for some reason, Filipinos fall for their scam! Filipinos should be watching Filipino vloggers as a support instead of foreign vloggers. These foreign vloggers are only using Filipinos to make money so they can enjoy life while they are on vacation. In fact, there's a new vlogger in town ended up buying transportation so they can travel places with ease. I watch channels I felt worth my time watching and worth commenting. You're one of the few Filipino lady vlogger to have good command in English language and you appear to having a sensible perspective. I've watched you in the past. Your title caption caught my attention again and I cannot resist not to affirm your observation. It doesn't hurt to watch foreign vloggers once in a while because it might bring some positive feedback about the country and that means tourism.
i rather watch you Filipina's than a yanks channel, but i also like seeing people out and about rather just sat there talking, a foreigner will say anything for viewers
I always took it as the same reason would be ex pac man like to hear from filipinas. Western tourists are the preferred customer of many educated people from the philippines. Therefore, you would expect them to want to see what the experience is like from the western perspective.
My favorite Filipino vloggers are yourself and Filipina Pea. I don't really follow the foreign vloggers in the Philippines at all. I feel like you guys know the country better than any foreigners do, although there are some Filipina vloggers that I don't like either. Some of them are becoming too sexual in their content.
Because traveling to new places is interesting for people. They are more likely to click on a video of somebody traveling somewhere rather than somebody creating content in a place they live. There is your answer. And yes, people traveling to other countries do you get tons of views. Just look at Kurt caz. If you make quality videos like Filipina Pea, you can also be successful as a content creator in the Philippines.
You just need to be consistant. Just post twice a week so we can look forward to watching you. You are looking beautiful. You have a following. Just be here and we will be here for you. Be on twitch when you have time. Its nice to talk to you in real time.
Excellent vlog. Validation sells in some professions. Obviously I'm this case too. Maybe the lack of a middle class is a cultural social void to gain confidence for appreciation of "self identity".....ambot
I think that interest is created when something is different from what they already know. So, providence life, or city life in the Philippines is not interesting to people who already live it. This works for you too, I would bet that your viewers are mostly from foreign countries because you are different from them, and speaking English very well. It also depends on content, and when the content is interesting to the viewer, it attracts them. Good job with this content.
I have visited the Philippines a few times and from the perspective of a foreign visitor I can say that Philippines is a relatively safe and easygoing country to travel around and I think this appeals highly to content creators. I film and vlog my travels quite often but I never publish the videos publicly as I only share them with family and friends and keep them for my own memories. In many countries people can be shy or even agitated when you walk around with a camera, but Filipinos don't seem to mind the camera and in fact they will even smile and wave at your camera, give you a peace sign or thumbs up. You don't find this friendly reaction to the camera in many countries. So I don't think that foreign content creators are baiting Filipinos so much as that the Philippines has qualities that suit foreign content creators. It is true that Filipinos are sensitive to what foreign visitors think about their country, many a Grab driver or trike driver has asked me what I think of their country, do I like the food etc. Filipinos, like a lot of South East Asians, don't really want to hear criticisms or negative feedback. I think a lot of travel/food vloggers are aware of this and thus they avoid sharing anything negative, especially as publishing negative critique of the Philippines, it's culture, infrastructure, governance etc. can result in foreigners being deported or banned from reentering the country. Therefore it is a lot easier just to sugar coat things and only show the positive aspects. As for your own content I think that your channel tends to appeal to foreigners, such as myself, who look for some local insight into the Philippines. Since you are a Filipina it is easier for you to be honest about both the good and bad things of life in the Philippines. Of course when you share the bad things you will get bad comments from other Filipinos. But ultimately I think your foreign audience just appreciate openness and balanced views.
Could it be the Filipino jealousy you've talked about before being a part of it? What I mean is that like in dating you're in competition with other Filipinos but not with foreigners and also the fact that you already know your own countrymen and culture so you're less drawn to that content in the first place and it's difficult to stand out in your own country while a new foreigner visiting and talking well about the country sticks out like a beam of light in a dark room. I can use myself as an example, I've lived in Sweden most of my life but barely watch anything Swedish, but as soon as I hear someone from outside the Nordic countries praises something that is made by or is unique to Sweden or Finland, which is my home country, I immediately take note and feel a sense of pride. However, when foreigners oversell and claim how much better things are here compared to their own country after only living a few years here and having no experience of the negatives built in to our systems yet, mainly talking about Americans, I get really pissed off instead because it feeds the propaganda machine and nothing gets changed to work better and as intended. This goes for my own countrymen as well by the way. I don't know if any of this helps you out or not in your quest to find answers but I figured I'd at least try to give you some different aspects you could think about on your path to figuring things out.
Some PI people are amazing but lots are not and I just gave you some examples..I could give you more but I hope you get the point...there are good and bad people everywhere and most of them are.........YT may restrict what I can say as freedom of speech is dead on YT
They might get views but none of them are worth anything on adsense Same thing happens when a traveler goes to India Doesnt happen when they go to a non english speaking country and blog in english
This is a good point. The cost per thousand views varies between countries and perhaps a million views and thousands of likes from a Filipino audience might push a video up in the algorithm but it probably won't translate into good income for the creator.
I do love your videos and your resilience, but almost every video I’ve seen of yours your either bashing Filipinos or back handed talking bad about Filipinos. And why do they scrutinize other Filipinos English and content ? Because they have Filipino pride they want only the best to be getting out to the world. Your an awesome person and the way your adventurous and not scared to be out of your comfort zone is unique. Maybe concentrate on your niche, focus on that niche and when reviewing and editing your videos if you see anything that could be considered bashing Filipinos edit it out. Also the colonization thing your referring to is out dated. You might want to let that one go. The white skin thing is more a Korean thing rather than a western thing in my opinion. Most whites I see in Asia love the bronze color more than bleached white and blond hair. This is just my 2 pesos worth, take it with a grain of salt. Again I really like your videos, thanks.
I think the crab mentality is not accurately depicted. It's not the crabs reaching up to pull the other one back down, it's more the crab reaching up to say, " Hey, take me with you" and the end result is nobody gets out.
You're certainly onto something, but I think Filipinos get more validation from an outsider being positive rather than a fellow Filipino because their fellow Filipinos are expected to be positive or their takes are balanced with the negatives that they're deeply aware of. A foreigner on the other hand doesn't owe any loyalty to put on a good face so perhaps their excitement comes off as more novel or genuine. There is an obvious analog to this of course which are the ever abundant "pro expat" Filipina blogs. That will go on about how great expats are, how they're under appreciated and can do better in romance with Filipinas. This also has a built-in audience, so to speak and while it could be seen as pandering, it is also simply just a creator finding an angle that works for them. And haters are just haters, to hell with them.
I ❤ your content, I would rather hear from a pinay about life in the Philippines and advice on relationships i have quit following 2 Expat Vloggers because of there demeaning comments toward their spouse Are you back home or are you still in Europe
I subscribed to you 2 years now. You make unique videos which I enjoy. You are doing a great job, keep up what you're doing and I'll keep watching!!
To be fair, thats pretty universal lol.
I mean I can understand why... Why move to or visit a culture and try to change it? If you really dont like it, you should feel welcome to go somewhere else. Thats how I look at it.
It’s because Filipinos know the mindset of their own people. Simple .
Filipinos are the kindest and most helpful people you'll ever meet ... To foreigners. To each other? It's another story. They can be so hard on each other and so rude to each other. It's a shocking contrast.
Thanks!
Interesting discussion and new insight from your Filipina perspective. Just found you and subbed.
So smart. You’re definitely one of a kind. Don’t know why this happens, but it definitely does. 🤷🏻♂️
I don’t think it crab mentality or colonialism. Being Filipino myself I see it in our DNA. Tribalism, that’s why there are 1000+ dialects
Nice video, Ruby good to see you
Danke!
The foreign audience, should be your target. The ads they watch, make you more money, than that of the Filipino audience.
TY! This happens in our community in the US.. Makes me upset that we need outside validation, instead of taking it from our own!
For what it's worth, I want my information from you and other Filipinas. The foreigners typically don't have the personality or real dirt on the Phillipines. Thank you so much for what you do
If it wasn't for the comment section TH-cam would be laying in the dirt
hell I could not possibly comment as yt dog free speech
Hi Rubieauti, wonderful video, very well said. By the way you speak very good english, better than most American. Keep up the good work and I love you.
Good post Ruby!
Rubeauti should keep telling her truth on YT or any other platform and if yt allow it she will get lots more viewers
Very interesting topic. You look lovely
Well, there is a universal wisdom: “A prophet is not without honor except in his own homeland and in his own family.”
Do an adventure video... seeking Yamashita gold..or spooky places ... or best sunsets... good luck!!! 👍 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
It's the same reason skin bleaching/hair bleaching is big in South East Asia and Africa. Most know it but few admit it.
Outside of their circles of family and friends, I'm not sure Filipinos in general like other Filipinos.
I don't really like other people from my country either. 😄
I have no idea what this is about, and couldn't really care less, but this girl is a complete stunner.
You know the answer. It's crab mentality.
Girl, you are doing a great job, and it's always a pleasure listening to you and your contents. Sorry, I'm not Filipino, yet😊
…. one more thing … this is a universal wisdom: “A prophet is not without honor except in his own homeland and in his own family.”
It's sad majority of the Filipino fall and eat up this kind of trend online.
so where did Rubeauti get the formula one seat...maybe from Verstappen or Hamilton or Ali Express
YOU are AMAZING ! 🙃
Good observation Rubeauti,as foreigner in canada i did not know that pilipinos are the most critics of pilipinos ,me i wacth pilipino video and foreigners too about 50/50 thank you.
I think you are amazing ♥
Greeting from a long time viewer of your content :-)
Keep up the good work!
🤔…..you are awesome - and absolutely correct in the opinions you have expressed. Long-time subscriber here - to tell you:
1) “Bashing” = petty jealousy (just ignore them)
2) Foreigner vloggers in nations, such as Thailand for example, don’t get the huge viewership because of the language barrier.
You ought to do like Filipina Pea does. Interview western travelers that will complement the Philippines.
I agree I'm narrowing down bloggers. Before I subscribe
I have a question, Ru. When you travelled and made vlogs in Europe, did you have more viewers?
When some suffer they don’t want to see others do better. Pain does spill over onto others. 🙏
You are so right and. That's all over the world!
Dang i thought you stop posting i do not get notification for your youtube anymore
Show about historical land sites? It's good to know history but I'm a nerd like that😊
***** I get a feeling that you slowly turns into a more international ... and it suits you well.
the validation theory goes hand in hand with Filipino insecurity which, i would haphazard a guess is a phenomenon that has occurred & increased along with the internet & social media, ie the insecurity didnt exist until the WWW made the world more accessible to Filipinos.
On the bright side Rubeauti is not living in Gaza
Jackson Groves made a playlist about his Philippines Bikepacking Trip but those nice videos have only around 10k views after 2 years.
Hi , I like watching you from Canada, just remember they all use click bait on there channel, or most of them don’t like each other channel lol
You know it is the same here in Sweden. English speaking vloggers get a much larger audience than someone doing the same in Swedish.
OMG i got a filipina finally yay!!!
i rather watch you Filipina's than a yanks channel, but i also like seeing people out and about rather just sat there talking, a foreigner will say anything for viewers
It’s simple, we get to see philipina
I always took it as the same reason would be ex pac man like to hear from filipinas. Western tourists are the preferred customer of many educated people from the philippines. Therefore, you would expect them to want to see what the experience is like from the western perspective.
My favorite Filipino vloggers are yourself and Filipina Pea. I don't really follow the foreign vloggers in the Philippines at all. I feel like you guys know the country better than any foreigners do, although there are some Filipina vloggers that I don't like either. Some of them are becoming too sexual in their content.
That happens in every country Americans watch you lol
If I was a philippino I would like philippina and philippino bloggers
6:30 don’t hate yourself talking about colonization. Other races gave that too. It slows you down building yourself and your country.
Very interesting, thanks for these thoughts. Colonial Stockholm Syndrome ?!
You just need to be consistant. Just post twice a week so we can look forward to watching you. You are looking beautiful. You have a following. Just be here and we will be here for you. Be on twitch when you have time. Its nice to talk to you in real time.
You have a great opportunity to make money with this..dont complain.
I watch channels like yours because I like the different perspective. I would assume Filipinos are doing the same?
WOW GANDA 😮⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯💯🔥🔥
They might get views but none of them are worth anything on adsense
Same thing happens when a traveler goes to India
Doesnt happen when they go to a non english speaking country and blog in english
I ❤ your content, I would rather hear from a pinay about life in the Philippines and advice on relationships i have quit following 2 Expat Vloggers because of there demeaning comments toward their spouse
Are you back home or are you still in Europe
