Thank you for remembering our veterans who gave their all and our GOLD STAR FAMILIES. Can someone please tell me why our military/veterans are only given 2 days a year to be remembered? At the same time, absolutely nothing for families and especially our GOLD STAR FAMILIES? I am so thankful for Woody Williams from WV and his GOLD STAR FOUNDATION. It's frustrating and sad when you ask someone about Memorial Day. You hear about barbecues, boating season and school vacations. Even Kackling Kamala, I mean VP Harris, had to retract/alter her statement about Memorial Day. She remembered the fun times riding on the yellow school bus. Nothing about the sacrifices of our military. Black history gets a month. Women get a month. LGBTQ get a month plus a chance to run nude on Biden's lawn at our WH. Those who raised their hand and took the Oath to protect and defend our country, CONSTITUTIONAL freedoms and GOD given rights and then give up their lives, get 2 days a year. Go play THE BALLAD OF THE GREEN BERET, GOD BLESS THE USA and BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC (President Lincoln's favorite). Attend a military funeral. Watch them carefully remove the flag from the coffin of a fallen hero. Lovingly and perfectly fold that flag. Then watch as someone on bended knee reverently hands it to a grieving family member and says: From a grateful nation. We need the Bible back in school. We need the Pledge of Allegiance not to be optional. We need Civics. We need prayer. May GOD bless.

Although this past weekend was supposed to honor the soldiers who gave it all in service to our nation and to secure freedom from tyranny in the world, I know that you recognize veterans who served and did not have to die. I served in the USMC from '76-'78 training for desert warfare in 29 Palms, CA maintaining the radar defense systems. I have no regrets for the service that I gave even though I was never deployed to any battlefield. The experiences and knowledge gained in the Marines are invaluable for our young men and women, and I recommend that it be mandatory for US citizens to serve in the military because the real-world experience and knowledge of the specialty of our MOS can follow us into the civilian sector of our society, and the veteran's benefits are a godsend. Thank you Jesus for securing our eternity with You and the rest of the saints. We are renewed every day by the abundance of Your mercies. Without God our lives would be futile.
