(Essay incoming, TL;DR this was my gateway dance-while-drunk song) I NEVER dance at house parties. Or in general. Like never. I was that kid who would say no a thousand times if it was required, just so I don't have to dance. Even if everyone else did. So I would be sitting in a corner drinking my beer when everyone around me was dancing to songs. Anyway one night in college we were all partying on the occasion of someone's birthday. I was somewhat drunk but not to the extent that I would "lose myself" or anything. So I might have requested this song on a whim, I don't remember. And it goes into the queue. A long queue. So I get on with the conversations I was having with others. I mean whatever conversation you can have in all that chaos, right? It may have been 10 minutes later or 30, but this song comes on, and I suddenly get up and go mad. I start doing the dance on my knees like around 1:30 here. Like really intensely, yelling at the top of my voice, creating a scene. I don't care, I just want to enjoy myself. And I find out next morning that I was dancing the rest of the night and I remember pretty much nothing after this song. So yeah, if it can make me of all people dance, it surely ticks the dance-worthy box.

I NEVER dance at house parties. Or in general. Like never. I was that kid who would say no a thousand times if it was required, just so I don't have to dance. Even if everyone else did. So I would be sitting in a corner drinking my beer when everyone around me was dancing to songs.
Anyway one night in college we were all partying on the occasion of someone's birthday. I was somewhat drunk but not to the extent that I would "lose myself" or anything. So I might have requested this song on a whim, I don't remember. And it goes into the queue. A long queue. So I get on with the conversations I was having with others. I mean whatever conversation you can have in all that chaos, right?
It may have been 10 minutes later or 30, but this song comes on, and I suddenly get up and go mad. I start doing the dance on my knees like around 1:30 here. Like really intensely, yelling at the top of my voice, creating a scene. I don't care, I just want to enjoy myself. And I find out next morning that I was dancing the rest of the night and I remember pretty much nothing after this song. So yeah, if it can make me of all people dance, it surely ticks the dance-worthy box.
