Boat builder here, great work! I’m impressed by how easy you made it look to understand the lines and then exporting those to sketchup and then! Making the machine cut it out. Huge props, now onto the planking!
Hi is there a possibility for you to email me the laser folder for that hull you designed.I’ve never built a boat and would like to try and it looks like this one would be fairly easy to build.I’m also pretty now to the laser cutting and still struggling a lot to design cut files for my laser

Good stuff Matt! I've been interested in Laser Cutting for a bit, so it's nice to get a step by step of what the process looks like - great job!
Herreshoff designed some really beautiful hulls
Love the exploration Matt, will definitely be fun to see if you keep this going.
Congrats. This is the First part of a discipline called naval architecture.
Interesting project. LWL means Load Water Line or the water line with a normal load on board the boat.
thank you for this video brother. how do i cut the aactual boat hull to dimension. I mean cut aluminium sheets please?
Nicely done, Matt. I like the wall sconce idea. Do you intend to model, cut and build the rest of the sailboat?
Thanks for sharing: this is amazing!
would you mind sharing your file (.svg or else) to cut your design?
Excelente 👍👏👏
