- Now this is a BIT DIFFERENT than the usual ML comic dubs that I do. I've been meaning to dub this fanmade ending to the "Evillustrator" episode for some time now, and finally gotten around to it. Seriously though, this is how that episode SHOULD'VE ENDED!!!

How is it that the fans come up with better endings than the actual writers?
Because writers can't always be relied on.
Fans tend to like happier endings. Writers... there are plans. And some are just evil and sadistic.

Ok, well to be fair, season one was more like the basis of any kid cartoon. With not much or to no continuity. So it was more just person gets akumatized, they save the day and deal somehow also miraculously solve the issue going on in their own life.
While later in the following season there’s more of a streak going on. (Even if it’s screwy cuz they don’t know how to air episodes in the right freakin order unless it’s a trilogy!! 😆)
Maybe we’ll see a little more of him later as the show progresses. Hopefully

Honestly I think they should've just used Nath instead of introducing Luka.. he's already a known and loved character who totally has a crush on Mari. It'd cut back on the hate for him and it'd make sense. Plus there wouldn't be as many ppl saying that it's, "Stupid that Marinette gets all the guys for no good reason!" I mean Luka's fine but using Nathanael would've been perfect imo.
Crystal Carol I agree. Plus, Nathaniel is a great foil to Adrien- he's shy, unpopular, and an artist, while Adrien is outgoing, popular, and a model. I have nothing against Luka, but he has a similar personality to Adrien, and it's become cliche at this point to have a male love interest that's good looking and plays the guitar. I was just really hoping Nathaniel would get more screen time in S2...

This is really what should've happened :( I feel like Marinette just kinda left Nathanael behind after he was de-evilized from the akuma
Ninian Well according to the Miraculous Wiki Nathanael hints that he got over Marinette at the end of the episode by crossing out the page with her in it and drew Ladybug instead(It was also used as an Easter Egg for the comics Astruc designed of Ladybug before the show), this hinting he moved on and directed his feelings at Ladybug instead. So it won't bother him if Marinette ignores him.
2071Johnny Why should she apologize to Manon?! it wasn't her fault the child is spoiled and couldn't handle following the rules her mom gave her. In fact, Marinette tried to prevent her from getting emotional by giving her one of the dolls. It was her mom that caused her to become akumatized. And Kim?! Seriously, you can't blame her for trying to help someone with his love life. It's like she said, had she known it was Chloe she wouldn't have tried to help him. Also, in the end it was Chloe's fault he got akumatized, she was the one that ridiculed him. Marinette doesn't own either of them an apology.
2071Johnny As for Kim, well your comment, whether you believe it or not, was implying that you wanted Marinette to apologize to him. If you wanted him to just have a happy ending you could have just said that before throwing your concern for him next to a sentence with different context. And he's not a very nice person per say, he did bully Ivan at the beginning of the school year, and he still acts like a pompous jerk at times even without the influence of his crush on Chloe. If he can learn to change his ways a bit, seeing as he isn't that bad, than yeah, he definitely deserves a happy ending.
As for Manon, I CAN complain, about her, seeing as she was(is being) raised in a way that she can't handle not winning, like Chloe, but really, that's all I have to complain about her. You missed the whole point of my argument, it was not to complain it was to state Marionette does not need to apologize to her. As for other friends, you cannot assume Manon has none as they don't give her screen time about her at school. Is this your way of trying to invoke pity from me for her character with evidence that doesn't actually exist?
But alright, I'll play this game of pretend with your 'evidence'. Let's suppose you are right, hypothetically, Manon does not have friends other than maybe Marinette. She's a spoiled kid with cute puppy dog eyes that can deceive. This would add fuel to my argument that she's more like Chloe. We both know Chloe doesn't have any real friends, Sabrina is more of a slave who needs bribing every now and then, and Adrien has become more distant and less forgiving towards her by the most recent episodes(discluding the origin episodes). Furthermore, back to Manon, if she really 'did not' have any friends, then I believe Marinette can help her with that. As you see in the episode, Marinette no longer falls for her puppy dog eyes and has learned to take better care of her. With enough gentle guidance on Marinette's part, Manon will be influenced to become more obedient and nicer to the point she does have friends, speaking under your circumstances. Or it doesn't even have to be Marinette, Manon's mother can pick up her role as mom like she should be and raise her right.
More than Marinette, the plot leave him behind, and that is what really botters me :c

Wow.. This does feel a lot more natural in it's ending. This is really good as an original episode. And I also agree that Nathaniel would've been a better love rival than Luka. He was already established as a character and this little snippet shows how it could've been done purrfectly. ;) in the original Nathaniel's birthday isn't brought back to light, it just gets forgotten like a throwaway line, so this is indeed the perfect ending. Good work.
Edit: Oh I forgot to mention how authentic Nathaniel sounded. I thought they had used original voice extracts. Good job there too.
Exactly, except I have to disagree with you on one point, Luka isn't meant to be a love rival, like Nathaniel had the potential to be, Luka is meant to be a love interest, Luka's personality is opposite to Marinette's and is meant to balance out hers. Nathaniel however is a love rival because he has more in common with the person of interest ( Marinette) than the person the person of interest likes. ( this refers to Adrien and Luka being good friends)

Hats and pens are not quite nearly the same things lol. It wouldn't be that easy to go from sewing to assembling a customized pen unless you already knew how and had all of the equipment to do so. Though yes I agree it would have been cute
She could probably make a sketchbook for Nathaniel. Bookbinding is not that complicated once you get the basics. She’ll prob be a natural at it since she has a talent at hatmaking and sewing.

I really wish this happened in the show!😯 Yeah, i like the other ending...but from what I saw, in every episode some of the akumatized people get a "happy" ending and I feel very bad that Tomato Child didn't.😢 He deserves more screen time 'cuz he was the only one who wanted to disobey Hawkmoth's orders so he could get Marinette to love him. He has a lot of potential, and I hope we can see more of him in the next seasons. 😄❤

I agree on the others saying that Nathaniel is indeed a better rival than Luka. My opinion is, he gets to interact with Marinette more. Simply because Nathaniel is in the same class with Marinette thus letting Adrien see more of their "interactions" would set a little push of realization for Adrien.
I kinda wish Marinette talked to Nathaniel a bit more.. then they would've been good friends! But it seems like Nathaniel doesn't have a crush on Mari anymore, so... 😶

Well to be fair sometimes when you are so blinded by your own feelings for someone else, it's hard to tell if someone else really likes you. It isn't as if Nathaniel was being overly obvious about it :U He sits in the back and never talks to her and just observes her from a distance. It would be one thing if he was being painfully obvious like Chat Noir is with ladybug and she still couldn't see it/ignored it, but that isn't the case at all.

As far as I'm concerned, this DID happen at the end of the Ep.!! Marinette & Nathaniël are both In-Character an' there's a mini lesson for kids about respecting people's privacy (with the addition that drawing someone is fine if they give ya their permission like Marinette did for Nathaniël here).
