[Verse 1] Hey, I never said I would be unbeatable 'Cause the words you said, they cut so deep And when you turn to speak It's murder [Verse 2] One time I was in love with you You make the earth move Every day was born for me and you (Woo hoo hoo) The world's still turning [Bridge] Endlessly, you make it seem your sacred, silent heart Why don't you answer me? Why don't you answer me? [Chorus] All the kings and princes cannot break this quiet siege Tearing me at the seams What is left of me? [Verse 3] Hey, before there were three There was one The loneliest of all the numbers There was me It's sad to see [Verse 4] Whether you were right or wrong Who am I to judge? The massacre of our conscience That I caused in my dreams Dreams [Bridge] Endlessly, you make it seem your sacred, silent heart Why don't you answer me? Why don't you answer me? [Chorus] All the kings and princes cannot break this quiet siege Tearing me at the seams What is left of me?
The biggest problem with Mr. Ishibashi's music is that his songs are too short. Most of these could benefit from being another 50% longer. That's a compliment for the record; it means I already think there's depth -- I just think more could be done with the richness that's already there.
@@asteriskcolon I mean I'm sure those songs exists but in (chamber) pop, and just music with lyrics in general, this is on the longer end. Heck you're lucky if you get 3 minutes with indie folk rock/pop. But if you know artists, "at this level*, who go for that long please do share.
[Verse 1]
Hey, I never said I would be unbeatable
'Cause the words you said, they cut so deep
And when you turn to speak
It's murder
[Verse 2]
One time I was in love with you
You make the earth move
Every day was born for me and you
(Woo hoo hoo)
The world's still turning
[Bridge]
Endlessly, you make it seem your sacred, silent heart
Why don't you answer me?
Why don't you answer me?
[Chorus]
All the kings and princes cannot break this quiet siege
Tearing me at the seams
What is left of me?
[Verse 3]
Hey, before there were three
There was one
The loneliest of all the numbers
There was me
It's sad to see
[Verse 4]
Whether you were right or wrong
Who am I to judge?
The massacre of our conscience
That I caused in my dreams
Dreams
[Bridge]
Endlessly, you make it seem your sacred, silent heart
Why don't you answer me?
Why don't you answer me?
[Chorus]
All the kings and princes cannot break this quiet siege
Tearing me at the seams
What is left of me?
This album is so great, thanks for creating and sharing! Picking it up fo'sho!
K. Ishibashi and M. Savino are the best ideas to happen to music since David Byrne.
Sorry to be ignorant, I tried Googling my best, who is M. Savino?
@AmandaShebang Mike Savino. He collaborates and tours with Kishi Bashi. He also has his own solo project entitled "Tall Tall Trees."
Good shit. Thank you!
amazing

Wrong! Need to keep ‘em wanting more.😳
I wouldn't mind having the song be longer, but I think its just to keep it radio friendly
This is already 4 minutes long. That's quite long.
@@Adam-kx2tp not at all in my book, the average song I listen to is 6 or 7 minutes long
Plenty that exceed 10, 15 minutes and more

This is why band kids should make music not these brain dead rappers
