    fantastic video and thank you - just one comment sir.
    Radial expansion of the propeller boss due to high pressure oil injection is also one of the key reasons why the jacks will face a lower resistance during the wet push up.

    • @rmetcvideos
      @rmetcvideos  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yr point on expansion is correct but am wondering about the logic of lower resistance bcoz of that...had it been expansion due to heating..this logic is Ok...in this case the boss WANTS to shrink back...So the lowering of resistance is due to coefficient of friction..hope u agree

    One doubt sir can we do the skf method with wet push up alone?
    Why do we need to do the dry push up first and then go for the wet push up?

    • @rmetcvideos
      @rmetcvideos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Very good question.....if we do not do the dry push up,the oil will simply leak out and you cannot even be started with the wet push up..so for the pressure to build up in the first place you need a certain amount of interference fit

    After coming out from drydock your SFOC increase what is the reason sir?

    • @rmetcvideos
      @rmetcvideos  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      :-) there is no such rule..If it is happening.. depends on what you did in drydock. Maybe you replaces all piston rings and Running In his not complete. Maybe you changed a lot of steel and the ship is heavier.. Maybe you fitted new equipments which added to weight and increase the windage..Many possibilities...
