I like the color of Avela better but the pupil of Ocre is just phenomenal! Ocre wins for me here because ,for me i think the smaller the pupil opening is the more natural it looks:-)
The Avela is straight up yours. Nobody can tell otherwise!!! I can't wait to get them!!!

The Avelas slay without a doubt. The Avelas look so amazingly natural on you. The Ocre could be worn at night in a dark setting to give you an extra "pop" effect.

yes that's sooo true!! the avela is the old opacity of the ocre! and the amber is close to the old opacity of the mels
Is the Ocre more of a grey bc that is what I'm looking for. At first I didn't do a thorough research and I bought Hydrocor cristal thinking it was grey and it turned out to have a lot of light greens which didn't look good on my fair skin tone. I'm hoping to buy again, but looking for a light grey colour that is not sooooooo drastic like the quartz or cristal. If anyone can help I'd be so grateful.

I'm actually stuck between Avela and Amber, could you perhaps do a compression video on both of them?? You're my fav person who compares these lens and we also share the same skin tone, so I would love if you did a video comparing them both. My problem is Avela seems too brown and Amber sometimes seems too green. I currently wear (don't kill me) AIr Optix Hazel, and they give off this greenish yellowish brownish color, it's actually stunning until someone is up close and see I have contacts in. So anyways, sorry for the long comment, but I think it would be really cool if you compare Avela and Amber. Thanks so much and continue being amazing.

Thank You for reviewing all the Solotica Lenses and doing Comparison videos! I purchased Solotica Cristals Natural Colors in 2014 not from any of the companies you mentioned they looked great in photos, but in person they were soo bright and looked so Zombie, Vampirish, theres nothing wrong with that if that's the look your going for and colored contacts can look different on different people but I personally didn't like them so much so that I swore off of color contacts for a while, but you convinced me to try Hidrocor its either Avela or Mel for me with Solotica!

I've literally just brought avela.. they are abouslulty amazing very very natural looking I can get over it.. even in direct sunlight they blend amazing.. I live in Melbourne and they literally came within 3 days ordered them on a Saturday came following Tuesday lens.me is were i ordered them

How the hell does the Avela look SO GOOD and like ACTUAL HAZELNUT on you but look so much brighter and not my taste on other faces. I've seen it in almost every skin tone and none were good but yours is so true to color how is that

A few days ago I buy Hidrocor Avela and ocre, I never before had worn contact lenses, and I took time to wear them, I could do it, but I feel I have something in my eyes, I feel I can see a little bit the lens color, but don't hurt me I don't know what to do, if I'm not used to wear something in my eyes or what! Because of your videos I bought a pair of the AVELA with prescription. Not sure if I got what I ordered. My natural eye color is a medium brown. On me these contacts have a light greenish tint. I LOVE these very much, just not what I expected. I ordered another pair of AVELA in non-prescription to wear with my glasses and to have something to compare. Regardless, I LOVE the ones I have, just want to verify what I have. I think I will try the OCRE next!

And I’m scared that the lenses might not work for me or might look hideous on me. I have black-white mixed skin tone and dark brown eyes and hair. Do you think Avela would suit me? And does the lenses work for you or do you have any issues with seeing?

Goodness, I didn't think I wanted any shade in the 'brown' category, since I'd really like a complete change from my own chocolate-with-dark-chocolate ringed eyes, but those avela are SO gorgeous! Hmmm... it's really a toss up now between the topazio hydrocor (love the ocean-y blue/green), vs. the avelas! And I haven't even received my first pair yet which are on their way now (mel). :)
Get the natural colors avela instead of hidrocor, they are lighter on the warm side and have a slight limbal ring on the outside 😉

Ah it's interesting you mentioned the scared part. I didn't realize that I was indeed scared they would look fake, I have very very dark eyes I can barely see my pupil and I feel like they're gonna look too fake. My complexion doesn't go with blue or bright green really... So I'm stuck in the browns
You are not stuck anywhere and you will not look fake don't be scared to try color
