absolutely worth getting. less broad and more combat focused than DF, but with the DLCs has some great potential for weird gimmick colonies which seems up your alley.
@@hoodiehair RW is great, highly moddable and a lot of fun, the big thing though is that rimworld gives you a lot more control then DF does. It is quite different as a result. RW also has far less craziness then DF as far as things that NPCs do of their own volition, but it gives the player more freedom then DF.
I love watching people play this game because I can't figure it tf out. The one fortress I had is being constantly sieged by troglodytes, don't know how, and everyone's upset, don't know why. So I'm just gonna watch smarter people than me play this game
I had more luck getting my dwarves to perform music with larger dance floors. I've heard rumours that putting an unlinked lever in the room with a repeated task to pull makes them more likely. It definitely works to get people to work in libraries but I don't have anything definitive to getting them to play tunes

I was just having the idea of making a fortress dedicated to instrument making lol this will be great for inspiration
Suggestion for a fort. Very large embark (the flatter the better for fps) and try and have actual field battles in big seiges

It's made from magnetite, which is magma safe, thus throwing it in a volcano won't end the curse.
