👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Such fun! Loved seeing all your projects! I’m starting Summer Quaker this weekend ❤That canoe panel will make an awesome center point for a quilt😊Taking notes and will have to watch again, thank you🤗
What a lovely small you received from Lisa in the swap! Oh you made me laugh when talking about "the salties"... I am definitely one of those! Have a wonderful time at Stitch North! I went in the spring, but can only afford once a year. I just know you will have a fabulous time!
LIsa, I love your videos. I wear progressives on a regular basis but what I do for stitching is I bought "progressive readers" on Amazon. They are cheap and come in packs of 3 usually. I wear 2.25 with my prescription glasses but when I stitch I have the 2.75 and the 3.0 progressive readers...so when I watch TH-cam I can see that with the progressive readers, then I use GoodNotes for the pattern and I can see that easily, then my stitching when I look down I can see that too. Love them. Hope this helps:)
Thank you so much for the light recommendation. I’ve been looking for a new light but couldn’t decide. I ordered 2, one for me and one for a stitching buddy’s Christmas present! ❤
I have not seen the lighthouse one by anyone else and yours looks amazing!!! Love watching that one expand with us as we end the year out! It geekie looking but when I can’t do use my magnifying big wands. While wearing my glasses, I put a pair of cheaters on the end of my nose. I took a project to the store and picked a cheater glasses that allowed me to see me the holes. This allows me to look up and see over the glasses at the end of my nose to see through the top of my main glasses. The geekiest look for sure!
How lovely to see that you've hopped onto the knitting bandwagon. Did you know that Addie's in Cochrane carries some Ancient Arts yarns? Also that another Alberta yarn company, Polka Dot Creek, has just opened a second location in Cochrane. Next time you're in Cochrane, check them out! I love all your stitching and really appreciate the shout-outs. I've found so many great flosstubers to watch that way.
Hey Lisa...glad to see all your projects and especially your knitting this time. I have knit since I was a little girl. My GM taught me and I started teaching during grade school. Have taught many many newbies and you are doing great! Hopefully you will find it relaxing and a comfort stitch, especially cozy during your long winters. Keep up the good work friend!
Thank you so much for the lovely shout out Lisa! I couldn't believe my own ears when you mentioned my name and all the lovely kind words you said. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart, words can't express how much I appreciate it and you💜 All your stitching, including your knitting is so beauitful, I love your fall wool - it is stunning!!😍 I'm off now to watch your finish parade, so excited 😆😄 Take care, Happy stitching - Tammy
Stitch North was high on my wish list but it has slipped out of the realm of possible. Next year🤞🏼 Love the dogs! Great projects, and so nice to see your energy and enthusiasm 🤓
Beautiful projects Lisa...and LOVE the stained glass lighthouse and the Quilts. Going to my LNS tomorrow to pick up a couple of market patterns, and have got to get Tilly the Goat.... adorable. Have fun at the retreat this weekend!
Great update! Quiltz is looking so so good. You have so many projects that are inspiring me to start ha. Thanks for answering the question about the lighthouse. I'm so tempted to start a stained glass piece because I love that one so much! Thanks for the sweet shout out, that was so kind. Happy stitching Lisa!
I love seeing all the pretty projects you are working on! And I really enjoyed your dog pictures, your little one looks just like my Zoey. Unfortunately she passed a bit over a year ago. We are having a tough time deciding what we want to replace her, you just can't replace the ones that own your heart. Have fun at your retreat!
Hi Lisa - Caroline knits and so does Kerri. Caroline put out a few tutorials a while back about knitting - for beginners. Bring your knitting to stitch North - you can talk to the two of them about it. For your eyes, I would check with my optometrist before buying anymore OTC aids. There might be a problem brewing and he could also suggest something more suited to your eyes.
I have to have magnification close to my eyes, too. I have a pair of progressives that have a slightly “boosted” prescription that I use for stitching on 40ct (I can see as far as the TV, but I couldn’t wear them to drive, etc.). I also have some clip-on magnifiers called “Magni-Clips” that clip onto my glasses and add extra magnification for higher thread counts. I can’t do regular readers bc my prescription is a mess, LOL.
I can’t wait to meet everyone at Stitch North…I will be going with Forest City Stitching Lisa. I will be showing your Canada Swaps picture on Sundays flosstube…do you know how to edit an existing TH-cam video without erasing the existing comments? I have been struggling with this aspect of things. As always…fabulous video. 🦉🧵🪡🇨🇦
Lisa, I am going to Stitch North next month and really looking forward to seeing you and Samantha and Erika and Karen (The stitching Owl). What kind of dog is your little one? Christine from Ontario
Hi Lisa. Love all these projects. Makes me want to try a Mira. My friend has done many to include Red and the Mermaids you’re going to start one day. I wonder if it’s been called to your attention that when you say you’ll insert a picture of whatever the subject is, more often than not they don’t appear. I’ve noticed this in the last few videos. Also sometimes the speed of your words aren’t in sync with your lips. I would’ve emailed you instead of putting in the comments, but no email address is in your description box. Hope this helps. Enjoy your travels and the retreats.❤
Your Sophie Scarf looks great! Knitting is so much fun and so portable like cross stitch. Have fun! ❤

I really like magni clips for magnification. They clip on your regular glasses, come in various strengths and you can look up and watch tv.
