I don’t have access to that department so there’s no way I could find out who was hired. What mostly convinced me is the way they just ghosted me. That surely isn’t unusual, but as somebody who already works there, it struck me as strange that my own employer would do that. I previously worked at a Fortune 100 company so ghosting me felt completely unusual and unprofessional compared to the atmosphere at my prior company.

Well I'm a lucky man! My wife and I met when I was living in a car. My ex-wife had destroyed me mentally, spiritually and financially. She stayed with me (my wife, NOT my EX) during all of that mess. I was a drug addict, she stayed with me and helped me get clean. Now, she makes three times what I make (Yes I have a 50 hour a week job in the industrial sector) and we are STILL together and happy! Yeah, many people get jobs/promotions because of an inside connection so I considered they already had a candidate in mind and only posted the job because it’s required, but one of the interviewers seemed particularly interested in me.
I don’t have access to that department so there’s no way I could find out who was hired. What mostly convinced me is the way they just ghosted me. That surely isn’t unusual, but as somebody who already works there, it struck me as strange that my own employer would do that. I previously worked at a Fortune 100 company so ghosting me felt completely unusual and unprofessional compared to the atmosphere at my prior company.
