I feel like the team treated Buck so poorly this season.. First of all, Bobby was acting like Buck was the young version of himself, so he was holding him off from coming to work longer than the department said was necessary. Not only that, but he was dishonest about it, until that dinner scene of course, to which Buck rightfully stormed out. Next, the team talks about Buck at the station in the kitchen, and they all seem so flabbergasted by the fact that he's depressed and hasn't left his apartment in a week. Finally, Hen mentions how he really has no life outside of the job - he has no one or thing to go home to. Sure, Maddie is back in town, but they don't live together, and she's dating Chimney, so that still doesn't count. Then Eddie takes it upon himself to finally visit Buck (which is just crazy that none of them physically went to see him for a whole week while he was isolating but whatever), and then just storms in his house and acts like he should be glad? Grateful? Joyful? Ecstatic that his life isn't physically over? Though to Buck, it does feel over, and everyone ignoring that simple fact did him a disservice. What makes that scene even worse, is Eddie has the audacity to compare Buck's current (and new) situation to Christopher's, which he has lived with and knows how to deal with. They are vastly different and nothing to be compared. I don't care that Buck is nearly 20 years older than Christopher - to act like Buck should be okay with "simply losing a job" (that he loves and cherishes) because a boy who has lived with CP and doesn't know anything different is borderline hysterical to me?? Who made Eddie say these things? I just have a few questions. Then the lawsuit comes around, because Buck learns it's Bobby's doing and not the departments for keeping him out of a job. And to my surprise, when Athena tells Bobby that he has no idea what Buck will do or how he will respond to the work load until he's working, Bobby completely ignores her? Like the balls you have to have to ignore Athena Grant Nash, your WIFE. Damn... Anyway, Buck obviously tells about all these other cases within their team of injured workers coming back to work rather quickly in the grand scheme of time, and also about Bobby's own personal issues, and then everyone's mad at him? For what? Being right? AND THEN in the grocery store, Eddie starts yelling at Buck about all these things, being a selfish little baby blah blah. Buck asks him why he can't see his side of things. Eddie retorts that that's all Buck can see. But of course it is! Someone has to see it from his side, since you're all choosing to blindly disregard it! Someone has to defend Buck, and since his team isn't coming to his side, Buck is doing it alone. I commend him for that. And again, ask who made Eddie say these things? Why couldn't there be one scene, ONE SCENE, where they all came to him and apologized for his mistreatment that they took part in? And then for Buck to come back to work and be the one to apologize to all of them? I don't think so. It was really just a whirlwind of a season that only proved to me the great heart Evan Buckley has, and how mediocre his friends (or family if you will) can be. Sorry, I know this is long and probably confusing, but Buck is my favorite character and this season really just irked me lol.
Very well said and I agree with all the points you have mentioned here. Everyone treats Buckley as someone immature when he has shown nothing buy growth. I can even try to understand Bobby as he was trying to protect Buck, not in the right way but at least his intentions were good. But other teammates were downright mean to him foe no real reason?? He can't defend himself? Eddie was just plain rude to him. I think Buck forgives people and is there for them and everyone else just takes him for granted and hold their grudges forever. Anyways Buck is my most favourite character too...I love his innocence and his sincerity in everything he does.
I agree with EVERYTHING you said! I‘ve never seen a TV character with a bigger heart. Buck is so sensitive and he always puts everyone else over himself so I didn‘t get what went through Eddie‘s mind when he said that Buck‘s selfish..
911 is such an amazing show because the characters are everything, so thank you for portraying that! I love buck more and more with each episode and you showed his struggles beautifully
And him not remembering that he coughed up blood in front of his boss could be a symptom of a blood clot in the brain 🧠 which could mean he gets a surprise departure from the show
He's in the hospital in episode 2 season 3 after having a pulmonary embolism at his welcome back party in the season premiere. Fortunately there were paramedics on hand.
I was going to make a video on the series "13 Reasons Why", but now there are so many good series coming out that I don't have time to realize all my ideas. I have so much planned, and also have studies and other things. So honestly, I don’t know yet when I can make a video according to your requests...
