    Hello Samantha, well, where to start. 1st, welcome, I read where you left Sth Africa to live here in Australia. Their loss, our gain, and what a treasure you are. Love your story, hi Mum, Dad and Jess. Thank you for sharing all you do with us, it is very much appreciated. Your art is wonderful. I can see i will be visiting your store, I am just beginning my journey into clay, at 70. Never too late as they say. Thank you, hugs to all.😃 Sherie

    This is so beautiful!! I never have need of cabuchons or pendants so wondering if it work if I cut pieces to cover round or barrel shaped beads with this.. Would I still need to use the backing??

    Can you make your own colored alcohol.

    • @JessamaTutorials
      @JessamaTutorials  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, but in my opinion they aren't worth it. There's a lot of experimenting that needs to be done, they aren't a whole lot cheaper and don't work as well.

  • @terrilemberger5840

    What’s the best surface to work on, so it doesn’t stick?

    • @JessamaTutorials
      @JessamaTutorials  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I work on a glazed ceramic tile when I want the clay to stick and on a piece of plain printing paper if I want it to not stick.

    Hi Samantha l have this Resin but it won’t cure properly under my UV lamp but it will cure outside in the sun if you cure yours under a UV light what sort do you use please and Thank You

    • @JessamaTutorials
      @JessamaTutorials  ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine is a 36WAT lamp and I cure my pieces for around 15 minutes. I don't have a specific brand of UV lamp.

    Do you have to use transparent clay and inks? Could you start with colored clay and silver leaf? Maybe I’m missing something

    • @JessamaTutorials
      @JessamaTutorials  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's the translucent clay that allows you to see the metal leaf layers. Here's a tutorial where I use the metal leaf with colored clay. th-cam.com/video/BTM7UaYoECA/w-d-xo.html

    What translucent clay did you use?!?

  • @crystalwilliams6683
    @crystalwilliams6683 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hello. How long did it take for these to cure? What is the uv light that was used?

    • @JessamaTutorials
      @JessamaTutorials  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      To bake they take an hour. For the resin to cure under the UV light it takes around 15 to 25 minutes. I use a 36 WATT nail UV light

    Have you ever had to try to fix the resin if it breaks the resin when drilling? If so, how did you fix it? I tried adding another layer but you could still see the crack.

    • @JessamaTutorials
      @JessamaTutorials  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Once the resin is cracked it's almost impossible to fix. You should drill from the resin side to the back.

    • @catelaine8706
      @catelaine8706 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jessama Tutorials Thanks. That time I drilled from back to front thinking that would be better......obviously not!

  • @sharonmays7083
    @sharonmays7083 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I used Tiny Pandora's Brush-on UV Resin,my first UV resin. I exposed them to 36 W UV for a min of 30 min. and they are sticky sooooo I put them back under the light. Still sticky. Out to sunlight. Still sticky. Four of the 10 pendants finally cured. What to do?

    • @JessamaTutorials
      @JessamaTutorials  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure why that would happen. You should ask Teresa Salgado this question as it is her resin and she'll probably know the answer.

  • @rosess12

    Question: so after you used the ink, did you run it through the pasta machine on what thickness? I just love you and all your projects.
