Does this game just have an insane endgame or something? I just started playing (only have four characters atm, all at level 12). Some of these items/skills look incredible. I just got Puni Missiles. They seem so insignificant compared to this stuff.
Not endgame, but rather postgame is insane. Where you could previously breeze through the game with only a little work on proper traits and enhancement, and not much care spent on choosing optimal accessories and items even on despair difficulty, even easy difficulty will be a struggle against the bosses. While you don't need perfect builds, you need to be like 70-80%, of the way there, because levels cap out at 20, so there's no way to make your way through via raw stats. Like the final boss rematch I'd genuinely rate 10-20x harder.
Not really no, unless you play on highest difficulty. Also, this is dlc end game content, if you play it on highest difficulty, it is expected to be insane, but playing on normal or easy shouldnt be a problem. sophie and firis crafting system is indeed one of the hardest to master, so little items to loop your craft and transfer your traits, quite complex mini game and crafting system. I found these 2 are the hardest atelier game to min max in highest difficulty lol.
