Alley Cats Strikes is actually one of my favorite Disney channel originals. I watched it so many times. They also often to played it either late at night or early mornings.
I sure haven’t forgotten those Disney Channels classic; I remembered watching them while I was vacationing in the States. Man, I am still struggling with this.
There’s one Disney Channel movie that is VERY underrated and it’s called My Date With The President’s Daughter. It stars Will Freidle from Boy Meets World. It came out in 1998 and is hardly remembered and isn’t even on Disney plus!
I have heard of and seen every single one of these movies. Disney Channel Original Movies were an important part of my childhood. They don't make these like they used to. The late '90s-early '00s will never be duplicated.
I remember most of these! Alley Cats Strike and Genius were my favorite DCOMs! Alley Cats had a young Robert Ri'chard (tv shows One on One and Cousin Skeeter) and Kaley Cuoco (Big Bang Theory) and Kyle Schmid (playing various vampire roles on tv shows Being Human and Blood Ties), who I remember having a crush on. Plus, the title song was catchy, which included the style of swing music and dance which was trending at the time. Genius had a young Emmy Rossum (tv show Shameless and movie The Phantom of the Opera). It's awesome to look back at all the up and coming talent the DCOMs had back in the day! Who could forget the movie Quints with Kimberly J. Brown from the Halloweentown movies and a young Jake Epstein (i.e. Craig from Degrassi). I also remember enjoying the movie Up, Up, and Away!, which I feel like the other Disney movie from a few years later, Sky High, kind of borrowed a little from that plot. It had Robert Townsend, who directed a number of movies like Hollywood Shuffle, and also played the dad of The WB show The Parent Hood. Not to forget, Sherman Hemsley (i.e. George Jefferson from classic tv show The Jeffersons ), who played the grandfather, and he was hilarious in the role! I realized not too long ago, it also had Kevin Connolly from tv show Entourage, Chris Marquette, and the actress who played Dorothy Jane from the tv show The Torkelsons that used to show on Disney Channel. I remember The Poof Point, though I always thought that plot had the weirdest plot of all of the DCOMs. Ready to Run, I think is the most forgotten DCOM, that no one ever talks about. Now that I think of it, this plot is kind of like A Ring of Endless Light, except not being able to audibly hear the animals speak and with dolphins. Tahj Mowry, on Poof Point and Hounded, was on the tv show Smart Guy- always been one of my favorite shows. The dog on Hounded was creepy, but the movie also had Shia LeBeouf. The Scream Team was one of the DCOM Halloween movies in the Halloweentown series' shadow. It had an interesting song, starring a young Kat Dennings (i.e. from recent Marvel movies) and Kathy Najimy (a few years after Hocus Pocus), Tommy Davidson, and Eric Idle as the ghosts. Man, Disney sure knew how to get big names for these DCOMs back then!
I have seen 3 of the 10. Quints was easily one of my top 3 fave disney channel original movies. Upsetting that these didn't make many waves when they aired.
Ready to run was like the 4th or 5th dcom. First was You Lucky Dog, second was Can of Worms, third was Underwraps, and then RTR ,and after I think it was Brink.
Brink, double teamed, and motocrossed are other underrated original Disney movies. Love all three movies. I’ve seen all the movies on the list except for scream team and ready to run. EDIT*** I looked up genius and I have watched that movie. I watched it once and loved it.
I loved Hounded. The writing was so...un-Disney Channel-like. Fast paced, clever, not always predictable, and the humor was surprisingly mean-spirted for a Disney Channel movie in the most wonderful way
I saw Hounded for the 1st time 2 years ago and I didn't like it. Too much of the dog Camille going rabid and attacking everything in Tahj Mowry's character's house
I've seen the majority of these movies. The only ones I haven't seen are Poof Point, Scream Team, Den Brother. What about Rip Girls and Brink. Brink was underrated. There's also Tru Confessions.
I didn’t like some of these like the poof point, up, up and away and alley cats strike. I liked genius, quints was okay but I also haven’t seen them in forever. I just might have to rewatch some of these
My favorite DCOM was Twas The Night. I haven't seen it in years but the writing and the humor were sharper and a tad more cynical than your average Disney Channel property
I feel like the only ones I really forgot and only have vauge fever dream memories of were alley cats strike & den brother. The other 8 we're all underrated classics! Especially up up & away, hounded, and quints

Aw I remember watching Poof Point, Den Brother and Quints like it was yesterday. I was on a nostalgia kick and 100th DCOM marathon got me in the mood to watch as much as I could find.
Never heard of "The Poof Point," but in one of my French classes at school (I'm Canadian and French classes are mandatory up to a certain point) we had to read a story called "La Machine a Rajeunir" which had a similar concept. The parents were on vacation and used a tourist attraction anti-aging machine. They kept getting younger and their kids had to stop it before their parents reached their own poof point
I used to be so OBSESSED with the Disney Channel as a kid and literally watched everyone of their content so yeah, I’ve definitely heard and watched the majority of these films…

I was born in “89” and raised in the 90s. I watched most of these movies.
I loved Ultimate Christmas Present, Quints, and Up Up and Away!
also I think Phantom of the Megaplex is another underrated DCOM....
Hounded was a hilarious DCOM when it came out and even seeing the clips now 😂😂🤣
I wish more came to DVD to own. I own Jumping Ship and love it. Probably my favorite.
I'm 31 years old from Jamaica 🇯🇲, grew up watching all these except the Ben camp movie 😊
Alley Cats Strike was one of my favorites!
A little known secret is that, most of these DCOM’s would come in at 2-3 in the morning. Use to try to figure out what they’d show each week
I have seen and thoroughly enjoyed The Poof Point, Alley Cats Strike, and Up, Up & Away.
I was an extra on Alley Cat Strike! Very underrated movie!
