To feel the power, to give the power and to receive the power, is the beauty and the truth of perpetual empowerment. To empower ones' self with light is the best. #RBG. "Fight for that which you care about," and "I sent the fly. " Let us all feel her 'transitory empowerment. " Let us all be SHEROES! Thank you Sierra and Montego so much for your Shero synergy.

For me, to empower myself means to remember my innate power certain circumstances make me forget. At the beginning of this year, I auditioned for and was accepted into Access Acting Academy, a first-of-its-kind two-month theater workshop designed specifically for actors with visual impairments (I've been visually impaired since birth). It was an intense experience, working nine-hour days five to six days a week. The point of the program was to figure out how theater could be accessible to us, creating tactile or high-contrasting marks on the stage floor so we could navigate in what would be most comfortable to us, figuring out lighting for those who were sensitive to "normal stage lights" that were either too bright or too dim, etc. It was a process of showing to ourselves and the audience who attended our final showcase at the end of February what we had always felt: That we were actors capable of acting in any role we wished, and that our stage was not an "exotic exception" to industry standards but could be a part of those standards as mundanely as anything else. We left that program showing we could do Chekhov and Shakespeare with the best of 'em, and we were all ready to go back to our respective homes and communities to give them what we'd learned. And then the pandemic happened.
It was a huge curve ball for all of us. Here we'd just spent this amazing time empowering each other and were ready to go out into the world to empower others and then we all got stuck on our islands at home. But I took that time to go into the alchemical crucible, to get back to the basics of who I was personally and professionally. I turned to the other craft of theater I do, playwriting, and began editing a long-time project I've been working on, an adaptation of "The Man Who Laughs" by Victor Hugo. And I turned to my faith, Wicca, and how it empowers me. I love what Montego said about superheroes' powers. It's exactly how, in Wicca, many of us view magic. Magic, or "magick" as some spell it to differentiate it from theatrical or stage magician's work, is seen as a natural force that is accessible to anyone. It's like electricity, a force which can be used for positive or negative effects. And, like electricity, one of the first things any true witch, any true wise person, learns about magic is that it's not a toy to be used lightly or for selfish or malevolent means. Magic can and will zap those who try to use it to puppeteer others. So, we put on our superhero garb, our witches' hats, our characters' costumes, and we practice the craft of the wise to remind others they, too, are wise and powerful. Blessed be. )O(

Empower ones self to be able to empower others to succeed! It's a level of responsibility to ones self. It's really an act of human kindness. 💓👍💓

As I once heard Marianne Williamson say, we are the ones we have been waiting for.

“Instead of being threatened, be empowered.”
Thank you Sierra and Montego for this powerful episode! I’ve learned so many things, most especially the Marination Station! It’s really helpful to empower yourself and to empower someone else and finally to allow yourself be empowered by someone, because it’s like passing on the power of each individual and by then, we can accumulate “power” that we can use to empower ourselves and others, and it might be the help they’ve been waiting for! 🤗😍❤️💖
