You are my new favorite hoya TH-camr! Thank you so much for making this video! I have been struggling to root my hoyas in pon and I had many questions that I search everywhere on the web and just couldn’t find answers. Then I found your channel and your video has helped me so much! Thank you, thank you! Keep it going! ❤
Glad you found my video helpful!🤗 I had the same question when I first purchased a Hoya cutting. Was trying to look for youtube videos but I wasn’t about to find close up details with explanation 🤔 so I made this one after I figured out the answer ☺️
After watching this video a couple of times, today I ordered a couple of cuttings today of a Hoya I've wanted but is expensive (at least to me). Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I truly appreciate you ❤️
Thank you, Karen ☺️🌱 I just filmed a winter growth update video with different kinds of my houseplant, will release it in the coming weeks, stay tuned 🤗 (and definitely more Hoya videos😀)
@FonnieTang I found this helpful. I potted up 3 sets of cuttings, and one is doing fine but the other 2, not so good. Your content is very good and timely
Love the update! What’s your experience with lechuza pon vs. ordinary soil? Will the lechuza pon completely eliminate the possibility of having pests?? 🥗
Thank you for the question Dres💚 Lechuza looks much better than soil and much more clean in my opinion. It won’t completely eliminate pest (except significantly reduced gnat 🦟) you can find out more answers here 😊th-cam.com/video/yW4-w-U0t2U/w-d-xo.html
Hi! It depends on the amount of water roots that as grown. At first I only keep a little bit of water in the reservoir, say 3mm (when water roots are very little, almost none exist) as the water root grows more into the reservoir, I increase the water level, say gradually 3mm more for each increase. You can also check out my other tutorial 101 series for more examples 😊 th-cam.com/video/qOAgyPvBKlM/w-d-xo.html

Hi Fonnie
Do you have any different ways of propagating the very thin stemmed hoyas? You have a clever set up with your sushi cups.
Love the update! What’s your experience with lechuza pon vs. ordinary soil? Will the lechuza pon completely eliminate the possibility of having pests?? 🥗

Do you do any type of pest prevention?
Fonnie: would you mind providing a link to purchase your clear plant tags? Thanks.
Ooops, I replayed and used CC ... you cut up clear sheets, looks like. No wonder I couldn't find clear plant labels (at least in U.S.)
That’s right Kathleen:) I just used the clear sheets and cut them into the size and length I want. The cheapest and most flexible way to make tags 😊🏷️
Fonnie, Do you have to have water on the bottom of all Pon cups? I am cinfused on that or do they stay moist till a weekly watering?

Do you grow your Hoyas in Pon? I am wondering if you repot adult cuttings in soil or Pon.
I grow all of my plants in Pon:) I have a detailed explanation over how I use Pon in this video: th-cam.com/video/yW4-w-U0t2U/w-d-xo.html

Hi Sandra, I have a detailed tutorial on the substrate I use here 😊🌱 th-cam.com/video/yW4-w-U0t2U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vqzirdl6xQyDrsRX
What size plastic bag do you use and do you ever close them all the way?
It’s 28cm x 39cm. No, I don’t close them all the way, just to avoid moulding due to overly stuffed moist.
Do you fill up the reservoar more when the cutting is rooted?
It depends 🌱 you can find out detailed explanation with examples in this video😊: th-cam.com/video/qOAgyPvBKlM/w-d-xo.html
