Great scene. Grief is all encompassing and there are no rules. Just being there is enough especially when you yourself are grieving too. A very well written scene.
Good scene and great advice from Callum. Ben has a tendency to run away and not talk about certain things, but that can't happen here in this situation. He needs to talk to Lexi about her mother and help her process this. The best he can do is be there for her and in her life.
Callum is Ben social worker they don't got romantic chemistry. Callum is a good gay friend to Ben. I don't think that's a good thing Callum trying to be Ben social worker because he isn't a professional. I think that's Callum flaw he is an enabler. He thinks only he can help Ben but he can't. Callum doesn't got the medical training to deal with Ben mental illness. Ben needs therapy because he is heading for another mental breakdown for sure. That's the one big problem the writers are exploiting Ben mental illness because the chaos he will cause is considered good drama. But if there is no attempt of resolution meaning no scenes of professional therapy. Then what is the point of this? Other UK soaps like Emmerdale actually show characters with mental illness get professional help Paddy & Belle.

For the whole year all Callum has done is counsel Ben. His job is counseling Ben not being a husband. That's my OPINION. And you obviously got poor reading comprehension skills. My post was clearly about the writers exploiting Ben mental illness because he can't cope raising his daughter. Ben is irresponsible but his severe mental illness means he isn't capable of raising Lexi. Maybe actually learn to reading comprehension first before you want to criticize someone comment. Ben is heading for a major breakdown because of the weight of responsibility now. Lola is dead but he can't cope raising the child because he is mentally ill and immature. The writers are showing Ben can't cope raising Lexi he is mentally ill he is sick.

I love Tony's delivery of the dialogue. His voice is so soothing.
