    Excellent. For years I have tried to play these songs and failed. I could never get Bill's less is more geneis style down.Thank you for honoring one of the greatest singer songwriters of all time.

    Some great insights. In Hope Shall Be Happier with the ascending note it reminded me that Buddy Holly did a similar thing in Raining In My Heart. Not that I think it was plagiarised by Withers. More like your statement of keeping it direct and simple.

    I need to say this. The magic of this music was the rhythm. It "rocked". The 'ands' need to hang back here, proceed there. You play with every beat and every and bang on, it's sterile, boring and doesn't swing. You've almost completely missed the point.
