    I keep a bottle of Bourbon in my saddle bags "for Medicinal purposes".🤣😜 You know just in case. Where else can you spend $400 and have nothing to show for it? Have a great weekend, Carl.

      You can say that again. I just have my fingers crossed they ordered the correct hardware I have my doubts 🤞🏻

    Your video reminded me of the scene of a Volkswagen at the Circus, and somehow 30 clowns packed inside exit one at a time! LOL LOL That's some great stuff and ideas for the bag! I don't have that much room in my side metal tool box, but may have to include some of the items. Stay safe out there!

      That is funny. After I reviewed the video I thought it looked like a bottomless pit. Believe it or not I still have a bit of room in the bag. Thanks for watching.

      @@MotorcyclingwithCarl that side bag looks good on your bike. I tried one of the Fat Boy and it just looked out of place, hence the old school tool box option I went with

    I use an app on my phone to help maintain a checklist of items I'm carrying. It's sorted for short trips, day trips, and camping trips. So as I add items to the tool bags, or use them up (water, wipes, tape, etc.), I check/uncheck the items so that I know what I'm carrying at all times.

    • @MotorcyclingwithCarl
      @MotorcyclingwithCarl  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nice what app is it? Thanks for the info

    • @base739
      @base739 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MotorcyclingwithCarl There are lots of list apps out there, but I use an app called AnyList. Besides maintaining a motorcycle list, I have a tailgating list, liquor store list, and camping list. My wife and kids all share the groceries list so that we uncheck items that we run out of, and then who ever is shopping at the time, can cross it off the list again.

    Good informative video. So I carry the toolkit that came with the bike, I have a clear shield for my helmet with me in case I’m out after it gets dark. I also have a couple microfiber towels...1 to wipe off the bike and another to wipe my hands. I will definitely be adding some zip ties into the bag. Cool video...stay safe!!

    Hi Carl. Is this the HD bag with that bracket? When you installed it, that upper bracket piece goes to the battery caddy screw…Is that the battery hold down screw or the hex bolt that’s further down?

    • @MotorcyclingwithCarl

    As an expert on carrying leather bags myself, may I suggest some SLGs (small leather goods) to go inside your bag for further organization. I would recommend the men's line from the coachoutlet.com website. :)
