Straightaway I saw a mix of blues and greens, with the divets being seaweed, and sea creatures added to the front for earrings, pendants, focal beads on cuff bracelets, just so many ideas. Thankyou for setting my imagination alight.

I have used this tool to make texture sheets, but never thought of using the pieces I scrape off, or using multiple layers. You have made me realise there is so much more potential to this little tool. Thank you for sharing.
I bought it originally to make rubber stamps, but found it really hard. Should have persevered but didn't :) I carve designs and textures out of clay now and bake it to make kind of a reverse stamp mould that I can press my raw clay into. Now I will have to try your method. I love the results on your pendants.xx

Just before this tool arrived, I happened to see a video (long, about an hour or more) on making rubber stamps by carving them, and they used this tool. It was really interesting, because it was a group of people and they all had different methods, but they also showed the effects of the different blades and when to use them, plus the kinds of rubber to get if you wanted to make your own stamps. I've also seen a few videos where others used a similar tool on clay, and the effect was gorgeous. But mine has arrived now, so i have to go play.
I loved that last one, reminds me of under the sea. I used a linoleum cutter in High School art classes when we were doing printing and we made our own printing blocks. I never would have thought to use them on clay. BUT, that does answer a thought I had about doing a custom texture stamp. cut it out, make a rubber cast, them you can use it to do custom peels. ;)

As I always say, "Oh, the possibilities!" My favorite is that last one you made with the curled tops. I HAVE a linoleum cutter, but for some reason only thought to use it on baked clay. Huh.

I would never have thought about using a Lino cutter, i love the effects produced by it, the heart on the far left at the end of the video also looks like a flame effect, pretty cool, i shall be adding a Lino cutter to the shopping list. I just found your channel, so far I love it! I got that book from eBay, super cheap! I bought the linoleum cutter around the same time for stamp making! My favorite thing to use cutter on is making large deep divots on Makume Gane! Then you fill the divot holes with other colors or just replace them upside down! It creates amazing effects! It also creates some wicked patterns for Mica Shift technique! Use 2-3 different blades on one mica shift sheet, it rocks! Have fun playing with your new cutter tool!!! Love your videos!!
I love these! I can't wait to see what else you come up with using your lino cutter. I had forgotten that I got one of these lino cutters for Christmas last year. I had some ideas for using it a few weeks ago but this opens up a whole new world of ideas.

I have a different bead book by Carol Blackburn; I saw pics of this technique in there but it didn't seem all that striking. Now that I've seen you do it, I would definitely try that technique. Terrific video, as always. I really look forward to yours! ;-)

I used these in 7th grade! We made lino prints. I love all of the surprises you get. As a beginner, i want to try them all!!

that's really neat; a great idea ! If one of those blades was narrow enough, you could use it with a stencil.
