I don't know why but having cleared off kitchen countertops and table always help boost my mood, it's like the sun shining through the clouds after it's been gloomy all day and I can enjoy cooking instead of dumping things and making messes trying to find some where to set things down.
Cook a nice dinner! Making delicious food is something I enjoy and it really helps my mood to be able to feed my body and my family something nutritious, satiating, and yummy 😋
Exercise and/or taking a walk with my dog always helps… pets are the best company for when you’re feeling down. They don’t even need to speak to make you feel better 😘
Being in the middle of a long rut myself now I really really appreciate your honesty and openness about this topic. Thank you so much for showing online that not everyday is perfect nor productive nor has to be! I'm struggling more than ever to get out of this rut and it's great for me to see all your tips and those from people here in the comment section. Hi Ash! This is such a wonderful video. Good to see the real side if life. Mine are: 1. Reading the Bible and praying the verses 2. Going out to run and being surrounded by nature 3. Journaling 4. Silence (no music playing and not even worship music) to keep the input at a minimum. I found this powerful. The literal external noise affects the internal noise) 5. Talking to my best friend 6. Skin care/a good bath! 7. Cleaning my home (clutter bogs me down)

This is just what I needed today. I've had such an off week, and often get mad at myself for having a bad day and not being positive. There's such a pressure to put on this positive, happy life all the time. Thank you for being so honest.
I enjoy doing Bible Word Searches, reading Bible verses and circling key words helps me remember what is truly important. I also have a daily practice of lighting a candle, taking out my mat to stretch and pray while listening to Tibetan prayer bowls. Walking my Chihuahua too has helped uplift my day, he is so excited about the little things, reminds me to be that way too!

I am literally going thru something similar. It has been a tough few weeks. Thanks for the video. It cheered me up so much. Repotting my plants with my little ones and a quick chat with my mom elevated my mood the last couple of days!
I feel you. I'm working my way out of the 2021 rut. I've come so far. I spent the last 6 months of 2021 coming out of depression. Deep cleaning, organizing, starting therapy. I've been bringing in more money the last few months. Need to stay consistent and keep going. I appreciate your content. You keep me focused. Thanks so much.
If I can’t get outside, TH-cam has some really cool ambiance landscapes videos and soundscapes. I pick the one that makes me feel the best that day based on the season and my mood and cast it to the big tv, light a candle, and go about my day knocking tasks out.

I’m so glad you made a video about getting out of a bad mood! I think it’s necessary for us as humans to share not only the good, but also the bad things with others. I applaud everyone who is brave enough to do so. Thanks Ashlynne! When I’m having a bad day or I just feel sad, I like to do things like watching a comfort movie or a show with my husband (preferably while cuddling), taking a long relaxing bath, reading, talking to may family or one of my friends, being outside (but only if it’s warm and sunny), eating something good and sleeping in or taking a nap :) I believe those are most of my remedies that I can think of. It’s the easiest in the summer, because a warm, sunny weather and preferably some water environment are able to miraculously cure me from all of my sorrows. :)

Embrace the grey days we don't get much of those here in naples but when we do I read a great book and sip on hot coffee. All of us have grey days when everything doesn't go as planned but I've learned to live like it's my last day. Don't let anything ruin Your days embrace each one with ❤️ no matter how tough and dull it feels.
I really loved this type of video! I actually think I'd love to see more videos of this type every once in a while. They're extremely valuable and there just aren't enough of them on the internet. Watching someone else lift themselves up when they're feeling down is exactly one of those "little things" you can do to help yourself feel better, and you provided exactly that for everyone watching - and it definitely lifted my own spirits for the day. As someone with ADHD, I can get really overwhelmed by thoughts that have nothing to do with what I'm doing in the moment, but this definitely served as a good reminder to re-center my brain in the present. Thank you so much. :)

We all have days like these, seeing Instagram and other social media platforms show how others have perfect days and have everything together but sadly that's not always the reality. On days where I feel low and don't feel like doing anything, I try keeping myself away from social media I turn off my phone and laptop (espcially if I don't have work that day) and go out for a walk I'm blessed to stay in a wonderful green campus in India and I take full advantage of it. I go for walks meet up with friends spend time with my parents and mostly avoid all screens I really hope you feel better. I really love your videos ❤️
Tiredness (as well as a little bit of overwhelm) is starting to seep in for me due to me having a busy week with school, so this video provided a good reminder for me to slow down and just take some time off every now and then. I’ve gone through a lot of pain, loss and hardships but what has helped me is praying and getting Holy Spirit filled with worship music. Honestly even though I’ve gone through a lot on my life, it’s on those deepest valleys that the person of the Holy Spirit has become so much real in my life. I encourage you to start every day praying and reading 📖 meditation in God’s presence. It will change how you manage your feelings. We live by faith not by feelings! And yes sunshine ☀️ is essential!😎☀️
My very happy place is riding my buggy in the woods!! We live in the country with woods all around and it lifts my spirits like nothing else!!!! I LOVE trees!!! When I can’t go because of the weather, I draw. I love to draw and I am learning how to paint. My dream is to paint trees!!!

Literally had a day like that today; I enjoy vacuuming and steam mopping my house while listening to some good music. I age. That exact brand but in a lavender color and painted my nails too! 😅 now just catching up on TH-cam and watching my favorite subscribers always gets me in a good mood. Going to enjoy a movie later with the hubs and eat some vegan icecream 🍦 thanks for showing us this type of video. Very relatable!

When I feel stuck, I enjoy baking delicious stuff, and also I really love organizing, so I find a spot in the house that needs a bit of extra attention and focus my energy on that, before I know it I feel good again

Loved the video! We all have weeks/days like these, and I appreciate you sharing yours…I think it helps normalize it. I like a good nap when I’m having a tough week…like on a Saturday or Sunday when I don’t have too much planned. Being a little slower helps recharge and reset my body and mind.
I never get sick, but lately I noticed I've been sick a few times. I think I have too much on my plate (stress) and need a mental health day. The only days I got to have a break were the days I was sick. If you don't listen to your body, it will make you listen! Schedule a mental health day!
My “ruts” often involve needing to get away for a minute from all the cats and chores and this hood in general and all that comes with it. Sometimes I take my iced coffee with me, hop in the Jeep and drive half a block over to my fave shade tree. After that it’s just whatever seems good. Maybe read or watch a vid or write or listen to upbeat feel good music. I just sit in my car so I can have my private little “hideaway” in any weather. Sometimes I drive up to one of the parks also. I def just have to leave tho Bcuz that’s the only way to truly be all alone and the only way to make it be truly out of sight/out of mind...(with zero pressure or responsibilities even if only for a couple of hours or so)....which is also the only way I can go back to it and carry on without being avoidant or surly or overwhelmed with both the cats and the chores and whatever other idiotic drama thing is going on in this neighborhood. (Plus we have issues with stray cats vs raccoons and feeding etc). Glad to be moving away from here and downsizing soon is about all I have to say. Lol. Fascinating tho Bcuz I’m planning on moving to NC soon myself. 😬 (Right now the burbs of Atlanta, GA).
I think that the reason your little plant wasn’t doing well is it didn’t seem to like the terra-cotta. And when you mentioned dryness, terra-cotta absorbs a lot of liquid away from the plants, so they need to be watered more.
Have you read do less by kate northrup? She talks about the moon calander which you may find interesting...you may already know since you have your moon phases picture in your room...anyways...since you are so organized depending on the moon phase your energy will change and should go up and down depending what the moon is doing....ok love this reset day too! What a beautiful day! Enjoyed so so much

I think that the reason your little plant wasn’t doing well is it didn’t seem to like the terra-cotta. And when you mentioned dryness, terra-cotta absorbs a lot of liquid away from the plants, so they need to be watered more.

She talks about the moon calander which you may find interesting...you may already know since you have your moon phases picture in your room...anyways...since you are so organized depending on the moon phase your energy will change and should go up and down depending what the moon is doing....ok love this reset day too!
