If I remember right: 807-A- = DC01 De Stijl. 071686 = Number 71,686 out of how ever de stijls were made. On limited edition DC01 the last 6 numbers of the serial number were the number machine it is, so that would make this the 71,686th DC01 de stijl dc01 made. If I remember correctly.
Now got one but my motor has failed and I have no soleplate 😫bloody water ingress I fear as the right hand filter is drenched!im a numpty! Your one here looks great Sam!it’s inspiration to refurbish mine thanks
Yes this was my first Dyson bought brand new in 1998. It worked eventually after resetting all the seals etc, but I gave it away to a miserable old codger about 5 years ago, who continually shouts and swears at me down the street for not spending my free time getting the Council to remove the buses from our street. Long story, but his wife is nice enough and still grateful which decreases my regret. But I did wince the other day when I saw him load it into the back of his car, probably to help clean his daughter's carpets, and then scowl at me as if I was Bealzebub. Oh well.
Love the 01,Want a Destijl,will go nicely with my crossbreed DC/A01 thing,I also want the Antartica solo,I can dream.I still need to make a video on the 01 thing,it even had Manchester vacs confused.
Will dig it out on the weekend,its behind my Vax 121 and next to my henries so a bit awkward to get to,some evidence including rating plate says dc01 but body work says DA01,I used it as a daily for a few weeks.Its in OK condition,turned out great but bit gritty now.
I’ve got one very impressed with it was 25 pounds was worth it because it got the box all the tools and the manual and all the stickers it was brand new in the box never sell it for lots of money lol
jacob pem my stepbrother grabbed it on his way to work. I remember when I was young going to the top over by deeming St Nicholas (i think it was, in the middle of nowhere) and seeing white pip fit tools in a skip. I took an upholstry tool I think

The DC01’s will fit a bloody Miele motor with some 3D printed parts and a dremel. They’re great.

kafkaian it's almost a shame whwn you have to see them treated like that! At least if you never saw it again you wouldn't care quite as much!

I have a dc01 standard and I love it I brought it refurbished for £60 and it does a great job vacuuming but it doesn't groom the carpet to well
