Lord jesus christ have mercy on us sinners. These are the type of chants that got me back to my faith as a “craddle” orthodox. They pierce through all mental “guards” that a person might have put up and hit the soul.

They are the skulls of the monachs / monks and priests who left this world. They keep such relics since those remains will accept a new body in the Resurrection, after the second coming of our Lord. I hope I made it quite clear.
