Why wouldn’t anybody use this system that only allows Wi-Fi and cellular service a old-fashioned potline is so much better as primary and then use cellular and Wi-Fi as back up perhaps but certainly not as an only option at least in my opinion
Hello @ronaldsomlay2573, as more and more telephone service providers are starting to use VOIP (Voice over IP) Digital communications lines, most providers have stopped supporting POTS (Plain Old Telephone Services). It is much more difficult to successfully send signals to monitoring station receivers due to the Panels Sending analog Signals and using Digital phone communications. This is due to the signal potentially being distorted when transmitted, causing the signal to either falsely trigger another account or not successfully delivering the signal properly at all. So as Tech has progressed, Internet communications over a Hardwired ethernet or Wifi connection in conjunction with the ever expanding cellular networks being more prevalent as a communication path, thus making phone line only path communications obsolete.
