The grief was most evident on his face. Perhaps, as I am in a state of shock because HM QEII passed so quickly and suddenly, King Charles III is also in a state of shock, but he's doing his duty. HM QEII, I'm sure would be proud of him.

I'm not Charles biggest fan, most of us aren't but this does break my heart for him. Whether they are 96 or 46, losing your parents is a pain that is indescribable. I'm thinking of the entire royal family and hoping they can give in their own ways.
Charles waited more than anyone for his Mother’s death. That man envied Diana's entire exsistence (Mother of his children) so he really don't care about pain. That throne only belonged to Diana after Elizabeth II even Elizabeth know this, world know this, Royal family know this and Charles know this too.

I have only known the queen to be queen. So when she passed away for some reason it got me by surprise because I just assumed she wld live longer. I dont know why but I didn't expect her to die. I already miss her and I'm an American so she didn't really affect my life but she did way more then she knows. RIP grandma love u always and u left a big legacy

They either do not know, or refuse to believe, that Diana was the first to break the marriage vows, and went on to have many affairs, including breaking up 2 marriages, whereas Charles had loved Camilla since he met her in 1971. His mother denied him permission to marry her though, and Charles's grandmother colluded with Diana's grandmother to get them married instead. Diana knew that he loved only Camilla, but still agreed to marry him.

I was surprised. My husband mentioned a contract signed after Diana's death that would transition power from the Queen to William so was surprised at the inheritance change. But that was a long time ago and things do change including view points and questions of integrity.

A proclamation is just to claim that Charles is now King of the realm he hasn’t been coronated King yet
I can never imagine any 20-something year old of today's age becoming a state leader, nor matching the poise and decorum Elizabeth carried in order to accept her role as queen. I hope King Charles and William will do their best, and nothing untoward happens that would cause a young member to become king or queen again.

This is not a scripted movie but real tradition. The palace and the people are real with its pomp and tradition of centuries. No other country, I know, has such ancient and continuous traditions.
