Not quite. Danny found him at one of those o&a motorcycle ride events and they interviewed him live on air. They instantly knew they had radio gold. He had also been to a lot of the show events prior to that also, Brother Joe said he had spoken to him a few times but it never occurred to him that he would be of value to the show. No wonder it was Ant who got hired.
