    This crime drama is a real blast from the past, a return to those enjoyable TV Movies of yester. Robert Forster is a solid hero, and he is joined by a first-rate cast.

      I watched this movie back in the late 70s in El Salvador (I was a kid at that time)
      Death squads were the modality during those years in my country. Unfortunately, those vigilante groups were brutal and targeting mostly, a lot of innocent people as a collateral.

      In the early '70's, my Dad worked on the truck weigh scales, and he was given a Fury to drive, an ex cop car. I remember it had no handles in the back seat, we were embarrassed, my sister and I had to wait for him to open the doors for us! Did that car go and built like a tank!

    I was a Jr. in High School and my daddy was Watch Comm. for Newton Div., L.A.P.D. glad he was off the beat by then. He went through the "Watts Riots" of the 60's that was enough. He retired out a Sgt.II, on a medical leave. Daddy was always a "straight arrow" of a peace officer. Peace on Earth. Goodwill to every living creature. Jeanie Hill-Wilcox.

    Did Melvin Douglas' character hit the nail on head regarding our old neighborhoods?!
    "I look around my neighborhood now, and it makes me sicker than I am!
    It used to be a decent neighborhood"
    Now they all drive too fast, MAKE TOO DAMN MUCH NOISE, they all smoke way too much dope, and they all think somebody owes "em something.
    That's how I would've said the same thing about my neighborhood almost 50 years later.

      They are siezed guns , used in former crimes. They are melted down anyway. And once the gun rusts , it doesnt fire . Bullets only last a little while under water, they corrode, and when the powder or primer gets wet, they dont work.

Sometimes u have to do what is necessary and set an example. To many loop holes in the law and the guilty go free. Good movie.(ls)

    • @55Quirll
      @55Quirll 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What about the innocent who then go to jail for something they didn't do or the police who kill innocent people either by accident or carelessness. They get off scot-free due to qualified immunity or when the police department investigates it's own and find 'we didn't do anything wrong'. No, there are no loopholes, only the same weapons that are there to protect both the guilty and the innocent, the reason the guilty go free is that the law wasn't followed, except the innocent go to jail and the guilty always go free. Be careful because the vigilantes you talk about may go for the police.
