Tuned up my 442 with a wilson combat spring kit then chamfered the cylinder and swapped out the factory grips for a crimson trace lg105 laser grip, hides a little better than my 629 snubnose.
Did the spring kit make for a lighter trigger? I don't mind mine so far. I may swap out grips for some wood, strictly for aesthetics. I bet it does hide better than a 629! lol
I’ve got several ccw carry guns i keep going back to my 642 i have the performance center model i carry it in a pocket hostler i forget i even have it most of the time
I have several J frames ALL of them have had a spring set change to get a decent trigger pull. Wolf spring sets are $8 a pak. Then I put Crimson Trace laser grips on them.
@@FlashinthePan82 You will definitely like the trigger change. There are a bunch of videos on how to do it. I also pull the lock and replace it with a plug.
@@FlashinthePan82 No I have not had any, there are kit with a slightly longer firing pin and rebound spring. I tried one and it was fine, but just changing the springs does wonders.
I feel kinda the same as you with my Taurus 605, and now I'm wanting to get the new Taurus 650 just to have one with the shrouded hammer!
I get it. I want them both for no real reason.🤷♂️

The wilson kit makes for a much smoother and lighter trigger, and with the wilson kit you won't need an extended firing pin.
@@jasonashley4579 May have to check that out.
Excellent video..I’ve got a S&W .38 +P Bodyguard (w/Hogue grips) and really like that one too.
The 637 is selling for $405 right now too with a $50 rebate. I’ve thought about it but this will have to hold me over for now.

Such a great little gun!

You’re the 2nd person to mention both upgrades. May have to look into them.🤔

Luckily mine doesn’t have the lock. I’ll look into the spring kit. Any problems with light primer strikes?

I’ll look into it. Thank you so much and thank you for watching!😁
Practically vanishes in the pocket.
Indeed, lol.
