Also, content creators become a lot less relatable if they decide to go full time content creating. There is something cool about watching someone also have a 9-5, which most people do!

I agree! It’s way more relatable and realistic to see people doing 9-5’s
My 9-5 is in tech, and one thing that helps me set good work-life boundaries is remembering that it’s my job to get done what I can in 40 hours a week, working at a reasonable pace, communicating my project status, scope, expectations, and limitations regularly.
My job is *not* responding to every message or email within 15 minutes or even completing everything that is asked of me, because that would mean I’m not prioritizing my work.
I love the mantra “your BEST is what you can accomplish while prioritizing your mental, emotional, and physical health, not what you can get done when you disregard it”.
I agree with everything you said ♥️

Omg okay 1. Beast is the cutest and 2. I loved the work chat about boundaries at the end! I would add: if your boundaries aren’t respected, it’s time to walk away. I had to learn that one the hard way but it made me value working with good people and work/life balance that much more!

Going through the work life balance currently and definitely need to hear how others navigate. Mental, emotional and physical health are so important and it’s hard when work doesn’t prioritize the person and only the job. Thank you for sharing what you do :-)

You explained it perfectly and I agree 10000%. Would you consider working part time like some other creators? Or do you plan to do both 100% full time?

I would only consider a part time thing if it wasn’t corporate, I feel like working full time in corporate is the only way I can really grow in the accounting / advisory industry. If I did part time it would be for like pursuing something different like coaching at OTF or something 🥹 who knows. Until then I’m def 100% full time both but leaning into more grace for TH-cam and not over pushing myself

To be fair, I love watching you for work vlogs! That’s what you built your channel around. We all watch different creators for different things. I don’t think it would make sense for you to quit to do TH-cam full time because your channel is mainly about work-life balance.

Hi Jenna! I know I say this in every comment, but I really enjoyed this vlog. 😆 I also wanted to be a full-time content creator after college, but after some discernment, I decided it wasn’t sustainable for me. I always thought I’d eventually be a full-time content creator. Then, a couple of months ago, I had a serious discussion with my boss about my career growth, and it was there I realized I enjoy having a 9-5 job and blogging. Who knows what the future holds, though!
I also enjoyed your reaction to your new running glasses. 😂 I’m also obsessed with wanting a pair of “baseball glasses” (that’s what I call them), but I haven’t found THE ONE yet. You look great in yours, though!

Your job responsibilities sounds a lot like the multiple tasks that my son has on his plate when they’re down an employee or the Communication’s Director is out of the office, even though he’s a Manager over a department within the Communication’s Department. He’s an External Affairs Manager for the State of California Treasury Department.
