    I have really been liking the Wera. I use a small electricians pouch or canvas work pants that have pockets on the outer mid thigh.

    Many years ago I went to an NRA Gunsmithing course. One of the first things the instructors suggest: carefully grind your screwdriver tips to fit your most common screws. However, you do end up with a LOT of different screw drivers. Of course, that doesn't help with Phillips.

    The Klein #2 Rapi-Drive is the best driver for locksmithing. It saves so much time when removing and installing hardware.

    Always been a fan of the Klein's.. haven't tried the PB Swiss drivers, but I do like the looks. I love my Wera's, but have had the same back pocket issue. Actually picked up a Veto MP2 so I could carry them and not lose them out of my pocket.. plus it does save me from tearing out back pockets on my jeans 🤷🏻‍♂️

    LoL! Screw This! That was a Perfect ending. I keep buying all these Fancy Screwdrivers but find myself going back to my Old Junky ones, because I don't want to Mess up the New Fancies! 🔨👍😁👍🔧

    Great review Jason, thanks for doing this. I’ve been carrying one of the Impactas in my bag for about a month but haven’t had to use it to remove a stubborn screw yet. I agree the flared head on the Wera is a pain. I know why they did it-branding and distinctiveness-but it does make it less sleek which can cause issues as you mentioned. Loved the graphite thing and the “Look at my ass; stop looking at my ass! Ok look at my ass again” 😁

    Love some PB swiss screwdrivers. I think a problem you are having is that slotted screwdriver is one of their Heavy Duty or as we would call them in the US, a Demo screwdriver. You can use that thing as a chisel or prybar if needed. They definitely have slotted screwdrivers that will fit your need much better.

      @@selock that's a good dang it. Metal through the handle and you can get a wrench on them.

  • @WizzRacing

    You need the #3 for them screws... As they make them from 1-4....That black handle one is made for striking. To get stubborn screws out.
    I bought mine in sets. As It's cheaper to just get them all at once..And them PB handles are great. As they don't grind into the palm of your hand. When putting force on them...

      I prefer the PB Swiss. Just seems better comfort and quality..But I order mine from Amazon Japan. way cheaper...

      I would argue having wera wiha felo ergo and pb the wera handles weren't designed to be a handle. The felo ergo worth a look.

  • @stewartxp2400
    @stewartxp2400 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Awesome! Glad it ended up being a good screwdriver. In regards to the dirt/color maybe you'd like their Heavy duty version of the phillips, just because it has a black handle and a striking cap. Another one of their models to consider is their "Multicraft" screwdrivers, same design but its an acetate handle designed to be hard wearing and for tough use. The feel of Acetate may also help distinguish between the two drivers, not that you'll need to anymore carrying the Klein. What you got there with the phillips is called their "Swissgrip" and is a softer handle. I was actually surprised to hear you say it makes a good hammer, haha.
    And for the flathead sizing thing, I think we're just "screwed" there, lol. Being European their flathead sizes are just 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. There is no 3.5. So yeah... North American SAE sizes are gonna be best for what you were talking about there. Thanks for making this video man!

    • @selock
      @selock  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      trying to figure out all the Wera sizes kinda drove me crazy 😜
      Thanks again for them! I often use the handle to wack locks to break the paint seal so having the softer handle is actually better (won’t ding the lock) It’s not quite as soft as Klein’s for that use so I do have to be a little more careful but I was really getting tired of the rubber slip on the Klein’s :)
      I, just today, used the Knipex XS with the wrench portion of the flathead trying to break a antique knob screw free (ps, the screw ain’t coming out)
      :) so it still gets its use! I might have to see if Vessel has a wacker unscrewey driver for that problem.
      I can say after all this, I’m getting a tiny bit better dealing with the metric system 🙄

    Really interested in knowing if the pb swiss is really functionally better than the wera lazer tips! Also why dont you just put the handles in your pocket so u can feel the blades of the screwdriver you are picking as well as they wont fall out...

    • @selock
      @selock  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it really is better.
      Because if the screwdrivers are upside down you will jab your hand with them and the handle makes the pocket bulge out more

    Oh do I have some comments.... The Wera are my favorite next to a couple of Wiha's and a Klein or two, but you gotta have the black and yellow Wera's. You can flip them around and actually have a built in hammer, sort of like the Vessel there but better cause it's Wera.. Now I'm waiting on Rune to comment...
