I'm watching this at home, and my dad messaged me saying he has a long, boring layover on his plane trip. I sent this to him, that way we can "watch it together" still! The best way to watch Everyday Driver is together with the fam 👌

I’ve owned the z71 5.3 Tahoe for 4 months now. Love it. The push button transmission selector is funky at first but you forget about it really quick. The push-button transmission goes back to the 50’s not a new thing in the car world. The storage pocket works perfectly for my wife’s Ray-Bans. The inside has a soft lining and fits all our sunglasses. The pocket was one thing I originally didn’t like but now I’m glad it’s there. MPG does suck. In our 5.3 we average just over 14 MPG.

I've only had mine for a couple months now but I really like it! The "pocket of stupidity" I can live with... in fact, the first thing I did was put my sunglasses there. But I really do not like the manual shifting buttons. I drive a lot in the mountains and I use them a lot... paddles would be so much better.

It’s a lot of metal, glass and plastic to haul around 3-400 pounds of people and cargo that could easily be done in a vehicle that weighs 2500 lbs less but, this is Merica, so, knock yourself out. Just don’t try to corner in this thing, bus level handling with the intrusive skid control and top heavy structure.

It is inexpensive when you compare to BMW X5 or Mercedes GLe pricing. For similar price you are getting a true three row vehicle, with better reliability and size, better towing, amd all around access to any ache y dealer across this vast land without any douchebag stigma attached to over complex Mercedes and BMW. It is why they don’t lose price.

I like the way it looks but there are 2 reasons I'd get an Expedition (or a Jeep Wagoneer) instead...
    1. The new Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade literally have the worst reliability ratings of anything in it's class.
    2. No adaptive cruise control in any model other than the top trim. I could spend $10,000 less on an Expedition (or a Jeep Wagoneer Series 1) and still get adaptive cruise control.

An absolute waste of money for average Americans. Paying that much for a domestic brand is ridiculous. This manufacturer doesn’t support that price with their mediocre warranty. ALL General Motors products are a joke. Whatever Chevrolet offers is mirrored at a higher price and very similar design in GMC. Whatever GMC offers is mirrored at a higher price and very similar design in Cadillac. And Buick is an anomaly that only appeals to the Chinese and an older American generation that will eventually bury it alongside Pontiac and Oldsmobile. If it weren’t for the new Corvette and old-fashioned, working-class American machismo, this brand would be as irrelevant as the Dead Sea scrolls.
