Nice find! I always liked that style of corvette as well. Those were the ones that were around growing up. When I was a little kid my next-door neighbor had a 76 and it was orange.
I forgot to mention it in the video but another reason was that my Uncle Paul had 4 Corvettes with one being a 1971 and a 1978 25th Anniversary Pace Car. He loved the C3’s and my brother and I would always be bothering him to take us for rides. He passed away a couple of years ago and buying a C3 was on top of my list. I’ve told my Dad and my brother that were channeling him back. Lol
Damn, I like your channel more and more everyday! Sweet ride! Quick story, My ex father-in-law, after graduation in 1970 bought himself a 1970 Chevelle SS with the LS6 4sp car! Well unfortunately he recently passed about 3weeks ago. But he saved that car and treated it way better than my ex mother in law, lol. Last time I saw it a few years ago it was unmolested unrestored in next to mint condition with just over 9000! Miles! About 8 years ago a gentleman from California state offered him $150,000 and he denied it. Your car is beautiful! Always was a t-top guy. I had two Z28s with them. Also a huge fan of any car black!!! I've always had a black car, awesome all shined up. I see car swaps in your future! Lol
Thanks! It’s cleaned up pretty well. Paint isn’t perfect but if that’s the only major issue with it. That’s fine, I can work with it. Great story about the Chevelle, all of the cars from the 60’s and early 70’s are crazy expensive. Most of the time, buyers are grabbing them as investments and not even enjoying them.
That’s seems like a great deal. Love t-tops. Your wife seemed to have a big smile so already a huge win.
It helps to have her backing. lol

Nice car Tom! Always wanted a corvette, but I bought the '36 instead. Look forward to your restoration and future videos.
Thanks Ken, there's definitely plenty to do with it

You got an amazing deal on that car.
Thanks! It was a minimal risk purchase, Now that it’s cleaned up, I could probably list it for $8500.
Nice a real car, i have a 74 myself with a 396 stroker :)
Oh wow. Nice!
We might either build this one to a 383 stroker or just take the lazy way out and get a ZZ4.
The original paint its Orange Flame (70)
good to know!
