This is an animated short I created a few years ago via Frederator/Nickelodeon. It aired briefly but seems nobody really saw it, so I decided to stick it up here. I'm curious to hear your thoughts as animation fans about it, and if you think it would make a good TV series or not (the show wouldn't be about the romance but more about life in the real world vs the online world).
This was done on a really low budget. Also, sorry about the Viacom watermark, this is the only copy I have.

I remember watching this when it originally aired and loving it. I had to scramble to find out more information about the this short. I would have love to seen how a full show would have panned out.

it's such a nice and cute premise but I think the concept is a little outdated by now. Today is cooler and more acceptable to be goth or a geek plus is more common the niches overlap now.
Yeah, and also teaching kids to find "relationships" on the internet can be very risky
, because you never know who (and how) the other person might is the real life.
Because fine characters like the ones in this show bridged the gap...they probably went off to have kids that were the first hybrid nerd/goths.
To be perfectly honest, they overlapped then as well
There were no social things of group A doesn't talk to group B when I was in high school (which this was made during), but it was in like every show for kids and teens, like the writers were always out of touch on that aspect
But they were definitely trying to do a Romeo & Juilet keep away thing

I remember finding this adorable as a kid. Still find it adorable today.
This should totally be a show! Most pilots are kinda crappy,but this was actually pretty good,especially considering it was on a low budget and not a full show. It's a shame Nick didn't didn't do anything with it; they don't know what they're missing.

I FINALLY FOUND IT!!! I've been using telling this story to my little sister every night before going to bed when she was younger. Only watched it once during a commercial break but I found the story so sweet that it stuck to me for years and years. I'm so so fond of this short 😭💗
This was one of the most romantic things I've ever watched in my childhood. I wish there was more just like it 😍😍

Wow, I actually found it... I remember watching this once, as a kid really early in the morning, and never seeing it again. Took me a LONG time looking for this, (and a lot of Wikipedia pages,) but I'm glad to see it again. Hope you see this, because I want you to know that this animation really affected me as a child, I love it.
This is so cute I love seeing the old 3D, it would be fun to see it sort of revamped for current MMO's !

This is a very old vid by now but I just wanted you to know I loved this short as a kid and still do now. It's just extremely heartwarming and genuine.
They’re so sweet! 🥰 growing up I was a bit of both, and I’m still very much a goth geek, difference is now more people are finding others like them and feeling less alone.

I know 14 years later, you might not even care about this anymore.... but to be fair with you, this is by far one of the most intriguing things I've seen in almost 10 years... I was honestly wanting episode two until I saw "The End" at the end.... If your still willing, I'd love to see more stories like this.
i fell in love with this the first time i saw it and was dying to see it again!
This reminds of story I made for college, about a lonely boy with autism who's forced to work on a school project with the new girl who's also a sort of goth/emo girl, they get together and begin to know each other and they eventually become friends....but no romance though (but thought of the idea of the boy developing feelings for the girl, but the girl did not return his feelings).
Don't know why but it took a while for me to find this short again, Even as a kid i remember finding it cute.

Oh. My. God. I have been looking for this animation for literally ages. I remembered of it from time to time and tried so hard to find it by searching like "nerdy and goth characters that play mmorpg game" and stuff of the sorts, even tried to ask on reddit about it but nobody seemed to find it. Now I remembered of snacky's journal and decided to see what else this channel made. My jaw hit the floor when I saw this gem I'm so happy I can't even put into words.

It's nice watching this cartoon after some years. I remember the countless times I was spending in front of the TV on Nickelodeon waiting patiently to watch it, it's my favorite and it has 2 of my favorite things; a cute love story and videogames.

I cannot beileve a show like this wasn't green-lit!! omg, I would have loved this show. But I do understand why it wasn't. The online dating aspect might have been going to far since ODing can be a bit risky, but with a full season it could easily be adjusted to work. Still sad that we will never get to see this. We truly do live in a society.

There were few of these shorts I was glad didn't make into real shows but this wasn't one. Adorable idea, cute characters and it seemed to try and break sterotypes.
That said, maybe not much to go off of but I do like that it would have these two as a couple out the gate instead of a "Will they or won't they" deal. That would have been refreshing.
This reminds me of Ready Player One somehow, despite the fact that this predates both the book and the movie.

This had a cool premise with an enjoyable execution and some really neat character designs, plus the animation, which was quite pleasant in 2D and cleverly simplistic in the virtual 3D game world. With the overall down-to-Earth feel and the possibilities for jokes and commentary on gaming, I think this could make for a very cool series.
Saw it last week on Nickelodeon.. Such a great story :D
@Stone Falcon Productions I think this would make a great show Nickelodeon, the 3D animation for the online game world is dated but, I LOVE IT!! It's quite interesting that the show wouldn't be about their romance but rather about the real world and the online world. All in all, I think Nick or Cartoon Network should take a look at it.

Wow! This was great! It's so rare to see a cartoon tackle romance as it's primary focus.
This was amazing. What I liked the most about this was that nothing was too over-distracting, everything was enjoyed equally from the animation styles to the storyline.

God as a goth I love the goth designs, they are so accurate. I especially love the tall goth guy’s designs with the green shirt.
The only thing that would've made it better is if they had some nods to goth bands to complete it. I was hoping we'd see a Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bauhaus, or London After Midnight parody poster in Rosemarie's room. You know just something that showed that they listened to the music because I agree that design-wise, they did look somewhat believable what with Rosemarie seeming to be Romantic Goth inspired and the tall guy looked Deathrock inspired.

I made sure I watched this one when it first aired. I love the animation and jumping from traditional to 3D while keeping that same character style. I'd love to see a tv series or even one more follow up episode. Great work I can only hope we might see more.
I adore this short. The animation works well, even if it was low budget. I could see this having potential, but I'm not sure if as a series or like others have said as a movie. I would love to see more of these beautiful characters. I seriously just saw this on TV and had to look it up and watch it again. Just wonderful! Great job.

I saw this when it aired on Nicktoons Network, and I think they still air it time to time. I freaking loved it, animation is great, the premise is sweet and halarious all at the same time, especially being some one that plays MMOs on occasion. Whatever the case, I think this deserves the views, at the very least, kudos!
Now I feel like going on a Quest to take on the 57 Level Dragon in the Dungeon of Madness!
