Fun thing about cat behavior! A lot of the misinformation around why cats do the things they do is because people heard about how European wild cats behave. African wild cats, and domestic cats derived from them are pack animals. When you cat brings you a "gift" of something they've killed they are not showing you how to hunt, they are providing extra food to the nursing, sick, or old members of its pack. I supposed you can still take that as an insult.
I was also super curious! I'm not sure if anyone else will be interested in this, but I figured I'd share what I found. I found some anecdotal accounts of African Wildcats forming colonies of related individuals, perhaps a few different litters of different ages, though it doesn't seem to be long-term. I wasn't able to find a reliable primary source. However, it can be argued that since African Wildcats are the origin of domestic cats, and domestic cats do form colonies, it makes sense that African Wildcats would do so. On the other hand, European Wildcats do seem to be solitary - I found this backed up by NatureScot and a few other sources, but I still wasn't able to find a primary source. I -was- able to find primary sources (first-hand accounts) for how notoriously difficult European Wildcats are to keep as pets, as they seem to be very fierce and untamable. If anyone else finds more research on this, feel free to add! I get fascinated by stuff like this.

Omg, they discovered probably the best dark comedy movie premise ever. People think there is a murderer in the house or a ghost and they keep being the instruments of their own demise when in reality its just a cat swatting things around the house.
This actually sort of exists! The Shadow Of The Cat is an older horror movie where a cat witnesses the murder of its owner, and seeks revenge by luring the people who killed the owner into, basically, ending themselves because of their own stupidity.
Owning a cat is actually the cure for thinking your house is haunted. Weird noise? Probably just the cat. Glowing eyes in the hallway? Definitely cat. Bloody footprints on the walls and ceiling? Cat.
My cat doesn't like cat toys, or most gifts from humans so, I made sure to let him know that the cat bed I got him was for me lol I just kept it away from him for a bit and used it as a pillow, got it nice and set up so when I left the room, he'd be like "hahaha, foolish human, tiz mine now!" His favorite toy we got him was an over sized pipe cleaner from the hardware store lol We had to limit his playtime with it though because he was rubbing his chin/cheek raw. Dude's a nutcase, but I love him.

My cats love creme cheese, and my mom has had a cream cheese bagel for breakfast enough times that they know human+bagel+kitchen=cream cheese. So when I show them the butter I'm putting on my bagel, they're usually very disappointed (though they do sometimes still want the butter).

I had a group of overgrown fruit trees at my house. I called an arborist to help thin them out. He told me that the fruit trees were perfectly trimmed when youre able to grab a cat and throw it through the limbs without hitting a branch. Needless to say i had 2 cats and my fruit trees turned out amazing.

Going through a really shitty time in my life and almost ended it myself prematurely but a random grump quote came to mind right before I did it and I laughed..that laugh made me rethink my decision and I put the gun away and put on y'all.
