Honestly watching you make music from scratch when you're a bit clueless is super fun, especially since I have zero music producing knowledge, it's easy to keep up!
Holy shit, this track is excellent. Also, well done getting paid to agonize over Luna. I tried making a video with MPC Beats and nearly punched my iMac. The video no longer exists. Anyways, keep us posted when NOTHING will be released!
@@RedMeansRecording It's super catchy and I want it in my ears again. I'd love to be able to get it as a single on Bandcamp (instrumental b-side!). I say this knowing nothing about what it takes to do, so it *must* be easy and quick.
If this bubble gum pop, I wish there was more bubble gum pop. Also, glad to hear you singing more. Your voice has a fun thing that it seems like you're finally discovering.
Discovered this guy a few years ago, maybe 3? And loved his work flow but also how he shared the end result, something a lot of producers don't do. And I think more than anything, the music was just always feel good fantastic. Fast forward 3 years and the TH-cam Gods decided to reintroduce me to some of his new videos OUT OF THE BLUE or really, was it because they were spying on me this past week as I've been seriously looking at the Novation Launchkey mini mk3 to play around with. Hrmmmmm .... Evil evil Google, or maybe this is a good thing. Never knew what he looked like or sounded like and I have to say, love his attitude and vibe, so thank you Mr Red Means Record :) More please. Oh, one last thing, thank you so much for not burning out on us, myself, to continue sharing your passion with us. On behalf of us all, thank you for the long hours, the video editing and all you do unselfishly to bring us music.
I love the involved graphics and small soundbites throughout the video! And I envy your ability to know what sounds you want without drowning in presetsea
Well that was entertaining 😂 I've had this experience the one time I switched to Logic because I couldn't get Ableton working. Nothing like losing all your hot keys and trying to run a session.
That chorus is killer! Loved watching you create a song, it was really enriching. If you didn't sell me on Luna, you did sell me on the Spitfire audio library haha
dude, I’m simply always happy to hear your incredible and interesting work, and I’m happy that you’re getting sponsored work.. that means you’re possibly paid, which is handy cos bills etc :)
GUYS JUST USE YOUR ABLETON KEY COMMANDS IN LOGIC - BEEN DOING IT SINCE 2007. And be sure to avoid the coronavirus, which is transmitted by using Luna. Love you!
Every time Jeremy swears take a shot 😂🍻 legitimately enjoyed listening to your track nice work even though the software has some hiccups still a good thing can come from it 😊 just goes to show you don't need to have perfect tools to make a track.
That was... an experience. Love my apollo, but I won't be adopting Luna anytime soon. Also you should make more pop music, cheesy/bubblegum or not. We need more mildly cynical gay dudes as pop singers!
NOT FIRST edit: jeremy you forgot that LUNA is for REAL MUSICIANS(tm) who record ACTUAL INSTRUMENTS and not this midi bullshit /s which explains why the midi stuff is kinda aufgkjdlfh
When he was trying to edit midi and he had to switch to one of a dozen different modes to get the function he wanted, I had to pause the video and go "Oh no! Ohhhh no!" and rant for a bit, because the last time I used a DAW with that style of interface, it was so painful that I swore off DAWs for years. I eventually tried another one though, and found that others are a lot better. :)
Your pain was palpable, but your brilliance never dulls.
The vocal production on this one was fantastic!
The editing on this was great and made it extremely relatable. Those first struggles hurt and you captured it perfectly
I keep listening to this track because it is awesome

It's up on patreon for now! I'm not sure I'll be putting it up anywhere else. It's waaaaaay too poppy to fit in with my catalog.
@@RedMeansRecording It's super catchy and I want it in my ears again. I'd love to be able to get it as a single on Bandcamp (instrumental b-side!). I say this knowing nothing about what it takes to do, so it *must* be easy and quick.
@@RedMeansRecording to be honest I'm not a pop fan but I think it would sell well, sounds great to me.
Great to see that UA let you in on the beta test for Luna! :D

Universal audio Luna recording system is so fantastic and it's truly a professional thing
I love the involved graphics and small soundbites throughout the video! And I envy your ability to know what sounds you want without drowning in presetsea
I have the feeling this man won't be sponsored by UA again.
Dude your leads are always so catchy can get them out of my head
Well that was entertaining 😂 I've had this experience the one time I switched to Logic because I couldn't get Ableton working. Nothing like losing all your hot keys and trying to run a session.
You've made a terrific song man!! Great work!!! It was really interesting to see your process! Salutations from Italy
Would love a part 2 on this with more about the vocal tracking/processing process. Great track! Thank you!
That chorus is killer! Loved watching you create a song, it was really enriching. If you didn't sell me on Luna, you did sell me on the Spitfire audio library haha
Nuts and coffee is my favourite thing to put in my mouth.
This is a lie, I hate coffee
Bro I love this song. How did you do the Tom fills? They are extraordinary.
Grab a bunch of classic drum machine sounds and go to town. I think these were Simmons toms, but the dmx and Linn both had amazing toms too
How am I supposed to gaze longingly into your inviting eyes when they aren't even in focus, Jeremy??
The Muted Guiatr is my favorite.
dude, I’m simply always happy to hear your incredible and interesting work, and I’m happy that you’re getting sponsored work.. that means you’re possibly paid, which is handy cos bills etc :)
How is this not a DAW UA? o.0
Can't overstate how much I enjoyed this video though. Thanks. =)
Amazing just amazing
Poptastic.
I trialed Logic recently and I can feel your pain, but I must say, I'm impressed by the end result even if it doesn't fit your repertoire.
Your video is so relatable, thank you. 😂 I think there is a count in. It’s in the recording workflow bar called pre-roll.
WTF that sidechain guide! 😂

It is always interesting when you walk outside of your normal workflow and try to create .... Nothing .. I guess. Nice work
The multiple swearing means red alert.
instant hit!
man it's so disappointing that LUNA isn't compatible with usb interfaces or Windows :/
Probably a blessing in disguise. It is still a WIP imo.
shoutout to the autofocus in the intro, its doing its best and we should acknowledge that!
It's really trying.
Great process, thanks for sharing and such a great catchy track!
thank god... this shiz goooood
BTW I will buy this on Google Play
Wow. Can you do a vocal production in Luna video? Great song thanks man!!
Sad as it is, it would be a comparable experience in Pro Tools.
Every time Jeremy swears take a shot 😂🍻 legitimately enjoyed listening to your track nice work even though the software has some hiccups still a good thing can come from it 😊 just goes to show you don't need to have perfect tools to make a track.
This is the kind of sponsored content I love. 👌
Jeremy this video was great but I was hoping for more cat.
Coming soon
HOW DARE YOU! j/k, amazing videos as always sir!
You got the same white noise pack that I use owo
Dude this is fucking brilliant 👏 👌
Omg I love this so much lol
How many of these instruments are included with Luna? It would be nice to just add a couple of them using Ableton.
The irony of it trying to replicate protools
Had me giggling like 6 year old with that cat popping on screen. Also Well done on the track.
The struggle hurts in third person
I want to be trapped in this sponsored hellscape
Ah we'll repeat this with some more...shit.
😂😂😂😂😂
Can you try LMMS next?
It's free and open source, but may be clunky. I would love to see your take.
great song - you know it's sponsored when you have to call it a recording system and not a daw!
Damn give us a tutorial on the video/animations at the end pleaseee. It looks amazing.
He actually made some tutorials a while ago, check this out th-cam.com/video/oZ2Xct1ytRo/w-d-xo.html
Is it "learrning curve" or just "shit program" issues lol
Next up some techno!
So what's your verdict on Luna? 😂
Where'd you get the raccoon mug? :o
i think costco?
Red Means infinite loop
You sound so bored omg hahaha Great video though, as always !
Oh dear.
That was... an experience. Love my apollo, but I won't be adopting Luna anytime soon.

luna -1
I remember when UA was top-notch, expensive but justifiable. These days... there are lots of better tools.
like what?
@@theFloxie Native Instruments, for a start ! Maschine gets you a full load of effects and instruments.

Luna is not a DAW 'coz they underpaid software devs and rushed its production
Just a guess after watching how Jeremy fought with it....
