One project I've always been interested in, is generating a new point in vector space randomly and having the AI use it in sentences. To see if humans can learn a new meaning of a word, that never existed before in english.
It would indeed be really interesting! If I understand you correctly, you're talking about changing one of the outputs of the embedding layer to a random vector (to get a non-existing word meaning). I'm just not quite sure yet how you'd be able to stimulate the AI into using it in a sentence that actually makes sense. It would also output an existing English word, because it is forced to do so, so you'd have to know which word represents the new one. But if you have a concrete idea on how to do it, definitely let me know! I may be able to look into it (though I can't promise anything).
