FIREBALL XL5 MODEL UPDATE

An update on a model I'm building of the Fireball XL5 spaceship from the 1960s TV show of the same name. This model is being printed out from files purchased on the Gambody website. I start off going over other models of the XL5 in my small collection and then go over the parts I have printed thus far. The end result will be a 24" inch model of the XL5.

I was only 9 years old when Fireball XL5 first aired. Now, all of a sudden, I'm 71 and it still looks fantastic. I'm afraid I can't say the same for myself though I have had a couple of parts (hips) replaced 😂😂. Looking forward to seeing your finished model.

There was a Japanese kit that claimed to be 1:72 scale and (from memory) was about 36 inches long. I went looking but couldn't find the make (sorry). I'm experimenting with plumbing fittings to make a kid a fireball-like ship with detachable 'junior' (based on a clear plastic easter egg). There is a dearth of decent toys these days.
