Managed to get see this at MAST Southampton. This is theatre at its very best. We’ve not stopped discussing it since. Incredible text unlocked by brilliant direction, superb acting, sharp staging and a driving sound design.

    How I love you guys!
I'm so happy you're back - have really missed seeing you
I'm a theatre director and filmmaker based in the US - before covid I came to London and the uk at least once a year to see everything - I think one of the worse things about the pandemic is missing my time in the UK - my first trip over was in 1981 and I never missed a year until 2019
Your videos do so much to continue my connection to a city, country and people that are such an important part of my life
I can't wait to get back - so happy you are both well and as delightful as ever
    Thanks so much

Great to see you BACK! You tube has the only clip with the original cast Ben Gazzara and Barbara Bel Geddes doing a scene for some TV show. Williams is a great poet. The plays are a mirror to his stages of life. I love them all.

I love you guys! And your enthusiasm for this production. Till travelling becomes easy again and I can hit the UK theatres again, I very much enjoy living vicariously through you))

Love your channel boys but the best Williams play is “Streetcar” and then “Glass Menagerie “ then “Sweet Bird of Youth” and “Cat on a Hot Tin”

Saw this production this afternoon in Canterbury - really enjoyed it overall but I agree about some of the humour not quite landing (partly for me because of the insistence on actors speaking over each other constantly so the lines didn't have room to breathe) and I didn't like a few of the stylistic choices (I also thought the children screaming at the beginning was a bit weak, and that having imaginary phones was odd). Acting very good particularly from Siena, Oliver and Peter in the three lead roles. Wasn't as sold on Mae and Big Mama personally.

A Streetcar Named Desire is his best known and greatest play. Agree with Nathan, very Chekhov. Side note. I live for you twos shirts in general, but those two are spectacular!

I say it’s Streetcar. Brilliant writing all the way.
