In the UK, (I would presume the US as well, but I don't know) court cases must be done in the order they come in. Hence why for the last 3 years, through Covid-19, the cases have taken a lot longer, because each individual case kept getting delayed for Covid reasons and eventually that time builds up, pushing the court system back several months.

That first court hearing they said when they changed the charge I've heard is pretty normal and fair its called a pre trial where you opt to plead guilty and then its all done just wait for a sentence or not guilty where a proper trial starts and you fight it and put up a defence
Them going "on the day" they've just "changed it" is a bit of a silly thing to say. Dangerous driving is notoriously difficult to prove and convict people of, the majority of people are actually convicted of careless driving as it's far easier to prove in court. The CPS must have had the required evidence or at least believed they did and felt that it was sufficient to warrant a charge of Dangerous driving, the CPS will not usually prosecute a case whereby the chances of the person being found guilty are just 50/50, they usually want 60/40 or higher. If they felt they had enough to charge for the offence, and that they would be more likely to win and them be convicted in court, than to be found not guilty, then it's likely the manner of driving itself WAS dangerous. I'm a bit tired of jumped up TH-camrs or celebrities thinking they can do what they want and they should be "untouchable" and the minute anyone prosecutes them it's because "they are a celebrity" or "they have nothing better to do". Being famous or an internet sensation does not give you permission to just do as you please.

These guys as far as I'm concerned are jerks. Nothing to do with "Now is the time to get you" you literally flipped a car on a PUBLIC ROAD (key point) whilst driving erratically to make a stupid video to upload to TH-cam for "Views". People who think they should drive in a stupid manner, and then flip a car, and think it's all a laugh to upload for views should not have a license as they aren't mature enough. Consider you are driving a 1-1.5 ton piece of metal, consider how easily you can skid, slide, roll or completely flip and roll crushing the car into nothing, and anyone inside dies. That's before you even factor any unexpected things, an animal jumping out in front of you, a car coming down the road towards you, an emergency vehicle on a shout.... you name it. If you went out, got into a vehicle, and drove it on a public road with the intention of driving poorly to make a video, and then happened to roll said vehicle, you absolutely deserve to be prosecuted for dangerous driving. If I went out, stoned off my face, or drunk as a skunk, and got into a car, drove like a numpty and flipped my car over, I don't think I'd be viewed as "a lad" or "Big and clever". As soon as it's some tits from TH-cam that do it suddenly it's "acceptable" and everyone else is just "out to get them". What a pair of morons. Also, "drunk driving" is not usually "dangerous driving" there is a specific offence for drink driving which is driving a motor vehicle on a public road whilst over the prescribed alcohol limit. Drunk drivers are generally the opposite, usually very slow, braking when they don't need to.... Dangerous driving charges typically have a factor of high speed or deliberate erratic actions, such as deliberately mounting a pavement, doing well in excess of the speed limit, undertaking people continuously, driving on a hard shoulder, etc all possible factors.
Yeah sure, cause you've never made mistakes. And the police never pick on or victimise people. Yeah to be honest I thought the video was great and in truth I doubt they were posing much danger considering they had a car in front and behind them the whole time. I just find it annoying how they play victim and shift the focus onto another party because to them it's like "if we're wrong, then somebody else was even more wrong and that should get more attention". They knew the rules, broke them, pushed the boundaries and then act shocked that there's consequences. They seemed so far out of touch with reality here.
It’s 10 minutes of how to make yourself a victim for things you did unprovoked. No I don’t expect they deliberately waited til your fucking birthday you narcissist. I’m sure the process was stressful for them but there’s an incredibly easy way for them to have avoided any of this
I like the lads but struggle to sympathise. Wasting public service/resource time and money helping them out of silly situations (e.g head in microwave video).
One of the reasons I despise them. No self-responsibility.... "Do as I like attitude" and "don't care" about anyone else. They stated they didn't care they wasted fire brigade's time for coming to free him from the microwave. In other countries he'd have been left to get on with it.....

The offence of dangerous driving is when driving falls far below the minimum standard expected of a competent and careful driver, and includes behaviour that could potentially endanger yourself or other drivers. Examples of dangerous driving are: speeding, racing, or driving aggressively.
Can’t really say the police have no morals when you’re deliberately driving dangerously till the point they flipped a car on a public road, for a TH-cam video
You don't know much about the UK legal system then.... If you plead not guilty to an offence there will be a trial, a trial never takes place on the same day, because the court hears cases one by one (i.e you might be in court at 9am for a first hearing, also called "plea hearing", and at 10AM someone else will be in front of the same magistrates or district judge for their plea hearing. They stated that they pleaded not guilty to dangerous driving, if it wasn't changed they'd be on trial in the magistrates court. If it was changed to a lesser offence, they might have pleaded guilty.
@@nathanos4397 Do you think Top Gear just drive down a random road and decide to roll a car? No. They actually obtain the use of the road solely for their use, and it is actually "closed" whilst in use. These guys didn't do that and did this on a public road that was "in use" to the public at the time. Two very different things. I once drove past a sign late at night that said they were filming a movie on that road, as it was late at night the road was "open" as such and the signs were just left there for public information but no doubt during the day it would be fully closed off and blocked off so no member of the public could drive down it.

You're an idiot, these guys have donated to charity, brought smiles to millions, advocated for poor mental health, given away chunks of cash to fans. What the fuck have you done you useless fucking keyboard warrior. Fuck off.
100% dangerous driving. Its shocking how little responsibility they are taking
You realise they had their people in front and behind
It’s 10 minutes of how to make yourself a victim for things you did unprovoked. No I don’t expect they deliberately waited til your fucking birthday you narcissist. I’m sure the process was stressful for them but there’s an incredibly easy way for them to have avoided any of this
JAY FOR THE KNOCKOUT 2ND ROUND IN HIS FIGHT AGAINST THE CHEV CHELIOS KID LETS GO JAY!!!
YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST PEOPLE!!
Hope jay wins he’s fight🎉
can we just appreciate how this content never fails to entertain us?
Ah thanks mate!
@@HappyHourPodcast bro it’s a bot man that spams that stuff to get likes and stuff and whilst I don’t like bots it’s not wrong lol
Keep up the good work mate
You flipped a car fo fucks sake, sounds pretty dangerous
can you please put the video on Spotify
It's on spotify
You could say the police were extremely “childish” can’t believe they did use that opportunity for a little plug 😂
I’m facing a similar charge here in Scotland for something they have trumped up to dangerous driving for no reason
For no reason?
"No reason"... there is a reason. If it was for "no reason" you'd not have been charged with anything in the first place. If the evidence is there and the severity factor is present that might well be why it was pushed up.
I work in a court and shit loads got delayed because judges where getting Covid and shit but 8 times is ridiculous
Jack looks like b-tech Paul smith 😂
TBF my case got delayed loads during COVID
How dare you have fun in the uk! 👮♂️
flipping a car on a public road isnt 'fun' its just stupid
@@solarflare2290 nah, it’s fun

They literally committed a crime and are now playing the victim they do stuff like this all the time they play the victim after like they raided his house on his birthday.... so what it's the police they don't work to your schedule like omg they people are not in the real world
defend the police more. just wait until they abuse there power with you

Stop defending the police they were being dicks about it trying to make it as inconvenient as possible
Its not just jay and romeol its their families having to worry because teh authorities are not doing their job its a disgrace on their part its not fair
@@jacklee1766 Sorry? Are you blind.
They did their job... literally. These guys committed a crime.
They put together a case, and presented it to the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service), who authorised charges.
They went back and forth to court, and ended up being convicted and fined £1,000 each.
Sounds like they did their job to me????
People moan when police and courts "don't do their jobs".... and you're moaning they are doing their job? whatever next.
"How dare the firemen put out a fire!"....
They should do a part 2 on a private closed road as a fuck you
someone comment the part that was blacked out, what was he saying they didnt want us to hear
Was literally just a mistake in the editing! That’s all!
@@HappyHourPodcast hahaha in a way it was perfect editing to get us all wandering! Happy mistake lol cheers
Funny, he talks bout morals, well not very good morals to deliberately drive a car dangerously on a public road! Deliberately driving a car dangerously is dangerous driving you are consciously knowing you are doing that! I mean seems bit odd
what is jack’s trim in this
They drove like twattocks and flipped a car and laughed about it, it was not "the police hate us for no reason"
Even here Jay laughs about discarding the indicator on a public road for fun

carless driving for flipping a car aha funny guys
You can’t be shocked that you purposely flipped a car on a road and got done for dangerous driving. Also you fellas both have an amazing way of talking so much without saying anything lol.
The offence of dangerous driving is when driving falls far below the minimum standard expected of a competent and careful driver, and includes behaviour that could potentially endanger yourself or other drivers. Examples of dangerous driving are: speeding, racing, or driving aggressively.

Ngl I like them but I think the police had a real reason to throw the whole book at them.
nah petty pigs abusing power as usual.
the cleverest people in the midlands
Can’t really say the police have no morals when you’re deliberately driving dangerously till the point they flipped a car on a public road, for a TH-cam video
sounds like their solictors fucked up if they went to court various times it should have been over on that day
You don't know much about the UK legal system then....
They flipped a car on purpose and filmed it...kinda dangerous
Top gear did it
@@nathanos4397 Do you think Top Gear just drive down a random road and decide to roll a car?
Im looking for a gaming pc if they are looking to offload that outdated equipment. 😂 Although Scotland ain’t just up the road. Road Trip?
If they just filmed on private roads somewhere the'd be fine, you cant do that shit on public roads
I like tgf but they did break the law so I have no sympathy for them with this court case.
The case wasn't delayed maliciously. It's how our grossly underfunded justice system works. If you wanted to avoid paying solicitors fees you could have plead guilty. Stop whining and accept responsibility.
Under funded because they put what resources they do have into petty bullshit like this, could of fined them at the road but somebody wanted to use them as an "example" they've done it plenty of times in the past.
How about you don't just blindly trust the police and justice system have your best interest at heart
@Lul Tim just entitled people thinking that everything's black and white because they've never been in a situation that would state otherwise
Jack looks so different here I can’t figure out why

he got the year 12 trim
It was an amazing video though jay 2 wheeling a car with a man shouting jay what are you doing
