Hot food vending machines are what we need in the UK! Imagine it's a cold, wet evening and your train is mega delayed, all the cafés are either shut or in the wrong part of the station. You turn round searching for something warm to fill your rumbling belly, then in between the vending machines for cold drinks, tiny chocolate bars and disappointing crisps you spot one selling warm toasties or comforting stews. East Asian countries definitely know how to do vending machines!
I’m from Singapore and I watch you all the time! A huge fan of yours. So glad you liked it here. There’s something special about seeing one of your favourite TH-camr visiting and actually enjoying your country. 😊
Milo is actually Australian and it tastes alot better usually here, for awhile we got milk from Singapore factories due to the Australian factories getting upgrades etc and there were big complaints it didn’t taste the same 😂 you pronounced it right the first time too btw
Milo is so good on a cold day. You can make it with water or hot milk depending on your tastes. It's an all year drink too because you can drink it with cold milk in hot weather too!
try 7-11 food in singapore!! the briyani & mac & cheese is great. some places have mr softee ( vending machine ice cream in 7-11) and it has the local flavour - chendol, a well loved dessert here! 😊
Milo is an Australian drink the normally comes in powder form like chocolate powder for hot chocolate. Milo can be drunk hot or cold and is really good as a tim tam slam. Milo is pronounced My-Lo
Personally, being born in Singapore, I hate how Milo has drastically changed. As a kid I love drinking them so much. Idk what my dad did to make the taste even better as a child. Nowadays they sell in packs and have low/less sugar as advertised and I hate that.
Whoever's reading this, i pray that whatever you're going through gets better and whatever you're struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen
I wish hot food (or even any real food) vending machines were more of a thing in Europe. I am often at Uni very late to write papers or what not and once the shops are closed I have a choice between very bad, overpriced coffee and sweets. They had some ice cream in a machine a few years ago, but it disappeared without explanation. I regularily feel like I would kill someone for a nice sandwich at nighttime.
The hot food vending machines are a staple here in Singapore. You can find them in university campuses. Alternatively, we visit 7-Eleven (the 24-hour convenience stores scattered all over the country) or go to a late-night or 24-hour food shop/restaurant for supper. Some of these food places are conveniently located near the MRT stations (our own metro/subway).
Ahhh Taz, I can’t believe you’re in my country! 😍 So happy that you loved the vending machine food! I would really recommend trying different hawker food, THEY R REALLY GOOD!!! You should do a vlog on that next, would love to see ur reactions!
My grandma's from Singapore and I love it there! It's really nice to see you enjoying your stay and trying all the food (especially pandan cake) that I've grown up with and love. While visiting I would suggest going to a hawker centre - there's lots of amazing food.
I am so bumped that you were literally a 5 mins walk away from where I live with the vending machine cafe and I didn't get to meet you! But am so glad you enjoyed yourself here!
Hi Taz!! Being a fan of your videos for a long time now!! Love you and them so much, they are my comfort zone!! You are one of the most real and relatable youtubers!! We just can't handle any of those youtubers who are so posh and they try to show off their money, houses, cars etc!! Yeah, we helped them, but they are so ungrateful most of them!! Anyways, thank you again and I am so proud for your evolution and your confidence that you gained throughout the years that I watch you in this platform!! Lots of ❤️ from Athens, Greece 🇬🇷
@@silent_amy When you have 1.5 Miilion plus subs..You only need a fraction of that to be patrons...and your laughing......Just think...say of those subs you have just 2000 patrons...all paying say..£3 pounds a months subs...That's £6000 a month income..or £72,000 a year!..from just 2000 of those 1.5 million..So now imagine she has 10,000 patrons...paying £3 a month....that's £360,000 a year!...And then..imagine an even larger number of patrons...you get the drift!...That's why so many of the successful TH-camrs are millionaires!..even if they don't show it.
The first pronunciation of Milo is how we say it in South Africa. It's usually in a powder form and can be consumed with either hot/cold water/milk (very tasty). And there are multiple other products such as chocolate bar, cereal, ice cream, etc.
Well done Taz, that was awesome. My favourite venting machine for practicality was the hot food ones. Particularly because I live here in Ireland and winter is very slowly possibly coming (it's still super mild over here thank God). But for sheer coolness factor, the candyfloss vending machine.
Honestly never understood people when they'd say comfort TH-camr ect. But Taz you definitely bring comfort to me on bad days and on good just watching your videos I always find myself laughing and smiling just enjoying it. So thank you for your content it's amazing 🙂
You need to do a challenge with vending machines in Japan if you ever go there - u cannot beat there machines - hot food , full meals , cocktails and so much more
I’m from Singapore but I’ve never tried vending machine food cause they are normally expensive. You could get better food options in hawker Centers or food court. But it’s a option if you can’t find any food or if you are a introvert HAHAHA. Hope you enjoy your stay here
Welcome to Singapore!! there are especially more vending machines where you are staying! also the salmon vending machine can be found at Sunshine Plaza which is opposite where you were! (ah so close!) there are also a few other interesting ones there. Enjoy your time here in Singapore! please try real pandan cake from Bengawan Solo it's really good!!!
You’ve tried so much vending machine food that I didn’t even know existed and I live in Singapore 😂 The next time you come, try out some hawker food!! I think there are some stuff you’d really like! Also, love your content and can’t believe you were in here! We were so near each other 🥲 hope you enjoyed your trip ❤
Pandan cake is my childhood favorite. The greener the stronger the flavor, but be careful, sometimes they add coloring in it. BTW, Milo is called "kicked ball" in Chinese dialect. You should have it in coffeshop or hawker centre, they usually make it really thick n sweet.
Taz is my comfort TH-camr, I feel like I’m safe! Met taz at a TH-cam convention a few years back and I can hands down say she was the so lovely and down to earth! 🤍
Hey taz!!! Just wanted to let you know that Milo is actually an AUSTRALIAN drink it is usually made with powder that you mix with milk. You can either have it hot like hot chocolate or cold. Also it is names my - low. Love for Australia
you can get Milo in the UK in the World foods isle (they have 2 one from Africa and one from Asia but they are the same but one is a little more £) the powdered stuff is so good and you can have it hot or cold. its a Australian fav. the powdered stuff you can make with fresh milk so doesn't taste "fake"
Wow you've tried more of the vending machines here than I have 😅 You pronounced Milo correctly! It's a milky malt chocolate 'energy' drink and is a national favourite. It's originally from Australia, but the Singapore milo tastes very different. You'll find it in other Asian countries as well and each country will have it's own taste!😋 I hope you also had a chance to enjoy some of our local food and explore some of the iconic sites 😄 And hopoefully you'll come back to visit SG sometime and possibly have a meet&greet? ☺
My-lo i loved it in primary school they use to drive a bus and start a stand in school (with school permission )and give out free milo to children which is sweet as hell like half of it could’ve been condensed milk.
this is crazy to me because where I live there are hardly vending machines and I live in a big city- it’s probably for the best bc I would ramen everyday if there were 💀
Are you still in Singapore? There’s a salmon vending machine just 2 traffic lights away from Parklane! I work and stay in the area you were exploring :) there’s even a vending machine for rose bouquets but I guess you can’t eat that. Would have been nice to have bumped into you!!
Do try a food court, there's so many choices of fantastic quality foods from stalls in those types of food places :D Enjoy Singapore! I've been a fair few times as I have relatives there
In the usa, now even at my local Doctors office has card only little stores with no one working. With frozen tv dinners, snacks, drinks, microwave to heat up said foods. But it just always seems cooler when a vending machine does it for you. Haha
i’ve been watching ur channel since i was 13 years old, now im 16 and graduating soon. i was so excited when i watched this video, im so happy that you visited my home country Singapore! ❤️
Hi idk if u guys have noticed or it's just me but ever since tax came back after her break from media, her content now features her past videos for that she would actually have to watch them and if ur a Taz fan you know she thinks they are cringe. Tabieats has taken us to vending machine cafes and just odd places you will find 100 vending machines. Or 25 on a deserted street down by a beach. I guess you can buy basically ANYTHING...in a vending machine.
In New Zealand Milo comes in a powder, it isn’t an energy drink, just a sort of healthy chocolate drink. It’s like hot chocolate because we either have hot or cold milo and we just put a few teaspoons of it in milk. Edit: you said it right the first time (my-low)
Oh dear.. I think they had removed the salmon vending machines.. I remembered there was one near the first location you were at, me and my friend were having a staycation near there and we bought smoked salmon and sashimi salmon from the machine and ate for dinner.
