Yay! A new Really Very Crunchy Podcast episode. I've been re-watching all of your old episodes over the past few weeks and I can't even say how excited I am to have a brand new one! Been watching since the beginning!
I know exactly what you mean about knowing what you’re getting into with babies. It’s exciting but scary when you know how hard it can be. Our first two babies were extremely difficult too!! The fussy baby book by Dr. Sears was very helpful to me during that time. Our third child was a much better sleeper, but not a good nurser. Our fourth child is adopted so we missed the baby stage with him. Praying y’all will get the perfect baby next time - lol! 😆
I'm surprised you think your travel podcasts had subpar content! Those were so enjoyable to watch/listen to because you guys looked like you were having fun and enjoying your adventure away from home! 😀
Always a fun listen! My feet and back hurt if I’m barefoot too long so I wear slippers but I agree about wearing shoes in the house. And I totally ask people to take off their shoes. I used to have a door mat that I made and it said, “cute shoes, now take them off”. 😊
I've never felt so relatable with the shoe thing. Lol my in laws call us hillbillies... 😂 and when we go over to there house we take our shoes off and they start making fun of us.
Another great episode. So I will admit that I wear shoes in my house. And this is why. We have hardword floors and we live in Florida and we have a dog and we live in a very old house. So the floors get very dirty very fast. So if I don't vacuum our house like everyday dirt, sand, dust, and dog hair get stuck to my feet which drives me crazy. Lol. I do usually wear sandals though. Idk maybe I'm just being too picky about my feet being clean.
I went to another person’s house and I could feel the dirtiness of their floor through my socks so I put my shoes back on. I went to a person’s house that had you take off your shoes AND put on a pair of their clean socks on top of the ones you were wearing. I have stepped on one too many bee’s from clover in the grass to go outside without shoes on
That was great guys 😂 I feel like I need to give you my two cents about shoes in the house. I am VERY against outside shoes in the house, I cringe whenever it happens. And then I vacuum and mop when they leave 😆 However, I do have inside shoes. I found out in my mid 20’s (after a mostly barefoot childhood) that I had gait issues and started wearing orthotics. Now my feet, legs and back hurt when I go without shoes for too long. So I wear shoes in my house but NEVER outside shoes 😊
I have to agree with jason, good dads dont get enough credit during the newborn stage! I had my 7th baby this year and thats the joke around here, I have a baby and my husband has 6 kids 😂 I'm always nursing or holding a sleeping baby so the feral toddler is all his 😅
Wait, the one and only Really Very Crunchy Mom hung a painting probably from the 19th century not being concerned about arsenic and the blooming production of artificial tar coal dyes? Not even mentioning it? I am disappointed. Are you really crunchy? I don't think so. (💜JOKE! THIS IS TOTALLY A JOKE, GUYS, DON'T WORRY!💚)
I’m a shoe nazi. I find it absolutely disgusting to wear shoes inside. Absolutely not in my house 🤮 I don’t care if they have to unlace military boots. You’re taking them off 😂 my house my rules

Torch Lake is incredible! My family has lived there for decades. It's my most favorite place in the world. Did not expect to hear you guys mention it!

Thanks for qa.
I’m with Jason on the “trendy speech”. Ha
Meet-cute is an old script writing term.

“Number one: that’s not a thing. And number two: you didn’t give me any? 🥺” You guys are hilarious lol

As a Canadian it’s seen as such an American thing to wear shoes in your house. It’s so WEIRD to me 😂
That was great guys 😂

I love going on trips but I don’t know what it is. Instead of feeling energized from the trip, I feel more tired and exhausted. 😅
I would love to hear Emily talk about some of her "crunchy decisions". A little bit of education. I bet a lot is in Emily's book, tho, so... 🤭😇
Milk cow is a little stringy but it's ok if you're making burgers, steaks not so much

I can see the temptation with military boots to keep them on! haha!
